The purpose of the charity is to promote, assist and extend the science and study of Analytical Chemistry and of all questions relating to the analysis, nature and composition of natural and manufactured materials for the benefit of the public.

Funding medical research

TO RAISE MONIES TO SUPPORT EDUCATION AND RESEARCH IN THE JERUSALEM COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY IN JERUSALEM , ISRAEL.

TO EDUCATE BY MEANS OF LECTURES, CONFERENCES AND ANY OTHER SUITABLE METHOD THOSE PERSONS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM CONCERNED IN ANY WAY WITH THE PRACTICE AND STUDY OF MEDICINE AND APPRECIATION OF THE ART OF HEALING MEN AND WOMEN IN MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT AND MORE PARTICULARLY INVOLVING STUDY OF THE RELATION AND INTERACTION OF MEDICINE, WITH ETHICS RELIGION PHILOSOPHY LAWS AND SOCIOLOGY.

To promote and foster the art, science and history of bells and bell ringing to bellringers and the general public, and in particular by publishing educational material and historical archives, facilitating communication, encouraging public interest and uniting the ringing community.

To promote the study of geology, and advance earth science, by lectures, publications, field meetings, a website and a library of books, journals, maps and photos, and educating the public, including young people, about geology. Grants are made to other bodies, such as museums and field centres, and from 2009 to individuals, in support of the study of geology.

To advance education and learning in general, in particular, in the fields of comparative religion and philosophy.To promote the advancement of religion on a non-sectarian basis.To relieve human suffering and promote mental and moral improvement in the human race.World-wide support of the Arcane School, Triangles and World Goodwill also the books of Alice Bailey through its trading company.

The promotion, provision, maintenance and improvement of renal units in hospitals, schools of medicine and universities; by the provision therein or in connection therewith of equipment, laboratories, facilities or personnel whatsoever calculated to relieve such persons and by the promotion of medical research into renal and other diseases.

Study of disease and particularily disorders of the Locomotor system and allied subjects, and generally to improve the standard of knowledge of the means of prevention, diagnosis, methods of treatment and cure of such disorders, and to initiate, encourage, support and carry out research and investigation into the causes of such disorders and the possibilties of prevention and alleviation or cure.

The BMSS promotes the science of mass spectrometry through the running of its meetings, courses and other educational activities. It also provides financial support, both directly or via the members institution, primarily aimed at the younger members studying or in the early days of pursuing a career in mass spectrometry as well as for members new to mass spectrometry .

GUTS is dedicated to improving the experience and outcomes of individuals affected by bowel cancer. Through grants it funds capital projects, pioneering medical research and a clinic for families with a strong genetic risk of developing the disease. GUTS also provides an online information resource to help patients during and after treatment.

This Kensington Church, open to everyone, provides for the community weekly Sunday Church Services, a Sunday School, Wednesday Testimony Meetings, a Christian Science Reading Room bookshop and sponsors regular free lectures. The principal activity of the Trust, which was founded in 1879, is to support the teaching and training students in the Arts, Crafts and Sciences of the Fine Arts. The Trust maintains and develops the land and buildings occupied by the City & Guilds of London Art School, which operates as a separate independent charity since 1 April 2012 following a business transfer agreement.

To promote and develop for the public benefit the science of the design, manufacture and related technology of motor vehicles and the science of their repair; and to further public education therein.

To promote medical research in such manner in all respects (including contributions to any institution or fund carrying on medical research) as the Trustees in their absolute discretion think fit.

Offers bursaries to UK radiologists and radiographers to undertake research. Offers bursaries to overseas radiographers to attend the biennial symposium. Organises biennial symposia for radiologists and radiographers and other health professionals specialising in breast disease.

Neuroblastoma UK raises money to fund scientific research into the causes of neuroblastoma (a cancer affecting mainly young children) and improved treatments. It also provides support and advice to parents and others affected by the disease.

The Crohn's in Childhood Research Association (CICRA) is dedicated to creating a wider awareness and understanding of Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, particularly as it affects children and young adults, and offers support to all sufferers and their families. CICRA sponsors approved medical research aimed at finding more effective treatments and an eventual cure.

The purpose of the charity is to promote and encourage the practice of bellringing; to recruit, train and encourage bellringers in the practice of their art; to cultivate the art of scientific change ringing; to promote and advise on the preservation, renovation and augmentation of bells in an efficient condition.

The SVAS exists to advance the education of the public in the science, practice and history of aviation and automotive transport by providing financial support and voluntary labour to maintain in working order the assets of the Richard Ormonde Shuttleworth Rememberance Trust.
