The Space Science and Engineering Foundation (SSEF) runs the UK Space Design Competition (UKSDC) and the Galactic Challenge (GC) ; both are engineering industry simulations, with the UKSDC aimed at students in Years 10 -13, and the GC for those in Years 5 - 9. Students design a futuristic space settlement, and combine imagination, STEM learning and business acumen, to be an 'Engineer for the day'.

Pelican is dedicated to helping those with cancer live well for longer. We achieve this by supporting medical research and education to improve surgery for bowel cancer and its associated secondary disease, particularly in the liver. Pelican has become a 'centre of excellence' for sharing life-saving, life-enhancing knowledge and skills with cancer teams and specialists.

This Kensington Church, open to everyone, provides for the community weekly Sunday Church Services, a Sunday School, Wednesday Testimony Meetings, a Christian Science Reading Room bookshop and sponsors regular free lectures. The principal activity of the Trust, which was founded in 1879, is to support the teaching and training students in the Arts, Crafts and Sciences of the Fine Arts. The Mineralogical Society of the United Kingdom and Ireland, also known as the MinSoc, is an international society for all those working in the mineral sciences (mineralogy, crystallography, petrology and geochemistry). The Society aims to advance the knowledge of those sciences, and promotes them through scientific meetings and the publication of two scientific journals, both available online.

Lee Gardens Pool Committee was set up to re-open Lee Gardens Pool, Penrhiwceiber, Mountain Ash, RCT. The pool closed in 2013. The Committee was set up in 2015. In 2016 the pool re-opened. Lee Gardens Pool Committee carry out the day-to-day running of and fundraising for the project while Lee Gardens Volunteers carry out the general maintenance. Lee Gardens Volunteers is an intergenerational group.
