Providing surf lifesaving training to all ages of the local community in and around Crantock

The Charlie Froud Foundation has been set up in memory of Charlie, a 14 year old boy who died in October 2008 when the light aircraft he was traveling in, crashed in the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland. The Foundation has been set up to financially benefit The Volunteer Irish Rescue Services, Marlwood School and Children?s Hospice South West.

To assist in the relieving of suffering and distress amongst persons endangered by accidents or natural hazards in South and Mid Wales geographical area, but also without geographical limitation, and to provide adequate arrangements for the secure and efficient search and rescue of any persons so endangered. Dawlish Warren Life Saving Club provides volunteer lifeguards on Dawlish Warren every Sunday & Bank Holiday throughout the summer season. Pensions4Paws support retired Police and Fire Dogs from Hampshire Constabulary, Thames Valley Police and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service. When a Police or Fire Dog retires from the service it no longer receives any financial assistance. We aim to raise money to pay for the veterinary care of these animals in their old age.

Exmouth Beach Rescue provides voluntary lifeguard cover to Exmouth beach at weekends and bank holidays throughout the summer season (May bank holiday to end of September). Members are provided with training in rescue & first aid techniques as well as use & maintanence of rescue equipment (including IRB rescue craft). Safety cover also provided for water events (i.e. swimming events & triathlon).

This year we donated life saving equipment to Castle Street maternity Hospital Colombo. Mainly a premature baby ventilator, Incubator and ten pulse oximeters. In addition we have been supplying dialising catheters and solutions to needy patients with Chronic Kidney disease.

Members are aged from age 8 years old. The children progress through the RLSS and SLSGB awards which allow them to become part of our patrol team who provide water safety cover at various river and lake-based events throughout Wychavon and wider each year. We enter lifesaving competitions, in swimming pool and beach environments. We have a Flood Rescue section which over 18's can train for.

We provide open water swimming sessions at the retired reservoir within Sywell Country Park. A small fee is charge but all of our income is used to improve the facilities and provide training to all of our volunteers including lifeguard training and acreditation

Provision of clubhouse facilities and training in sea-safety etc. for club members from the age of 8, through to qualification status as RNLI lifeguards for our regions beaches.

1,The relief of sickness and preservation and protection of good health in the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) area, trained by NWAS to respond locally in advance of a ambulance operating in our local area and with our trackiing system anywhere in the NWAS area.2,To advance the education of the public with training of first aid with basic life saving skills working with BHF Heartstart .

We raise funds to help and support vulnerable groups of HIV/AIDS orphans in Myanmar (Burma). To give them the care and life saving antiretroviral drugs they need, also get them back with their extended family in the community. We will do this by strengthening activities of self help groups already on the ground. Now extended to trafficked and displaced children due to the civil war.
