Saving of lives Charities

The Club organises events to raise money to help individuals and organisations at home and abroad in a variety of ways, eg by providing aqua boxes to produce drinkable water, shelter boxes (tents etc.) in disaster ares of the world and financing the digging of wells. It also uses funds to sponsor the youth of Thanet in various way, i.e direct sponsorship, RYLA, art competition and school proms.

Provision of clubhouse facilities and training in sea-safety etc. for club members from the age of 8, through to qualification status as RNLI lifeguards for our regions beaches.

The provision of buildings, facilities and open space for use by local and wider community for a range of recreation/sports and other activities. i.e. art/lace making/karate/dance/aerobics classes. Indoor bowls, tumble tots (pe for infants). WI/Towns Women's Guild, parish council. Police & community meetings. Parties/weddings etc. Conferences/exhibitions, polling station (elections).

To offer relief in conditions of need and to support the welfare and well-being of Police Officers and Police Staff of the North Wales Police and their families to include former such members of this and previous Forces amalgamated to form the North Wales Police. To further the objectives of the St Georges Fund, the St Andrews Fund and other recognised Police Charities

The GMPMVC gives concerts throughout the UK but mainly within the GMP area. By invitation, it has also sung in the EU.The Choir has been privileged to assist in raising many thousands of pounds for organisations and charities such as Scope, The Rainbow Trust, The Deep Sea Fishermen's Mission, Rochdale Springhill & Bury Hospices, Cancer Research UK as well as local churches and schools.

Financial and practical support to local and national organisations and groups of people in need. Financial support to people affected by international disasters (e.g. Earthquakes, Tsunamis) and to other charities concerned with the welfare of people in need in countries overseas.

Providing physical and financial support to the local community, to youth activities, to other worthwhile causes locally, nationally and internationally and to disaster relief both nationally and worldwide.

The restoration,reconstruction,maintenance and upkeep of Holy Trinity Church Coventry, and the raising of funds to defray the costs thereof.

Provide the police with an underground search and rescue service: DCRO is the closest organisation for the following police force areas - Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Cheshire (part), Derbyshire, Greater Manchester (part), Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, Staffordshire (part) and Warwickshire.

To provide financial assistance (during times of hardships) and holiday accommodation to members and ex-members (including families) of the Wiltshire Ambulance Service Benevolent Fund. Operates within the Wiltshire sector of the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.

raising money for local and overseas charities including local hospitals, cancer research and overseas disaster appeals

In Nepal we have been rebuilding a school that had been completely destroyed in the 2015 earthquake. There are 5 new classrooms, a toilet block and a new drinking water filtration system. We have also recently repainted two school and repaired and replaced desks and chairs. We are currently sponsoring 6 children through their education at the school.

The Trust supports Local Community organisations and selected Organisations operating in overseas countries and disaster areas.Funds to support these activities are raised from members donations and fund-raising events in the local area.

Educational, medical & shelter projects humanitarian disaster aid and assistance donations to charitable organisations (all the above activities overseas only).Charity is currently operating in Gambia, West Africa.

Friends of Bulgaria provides humanitarian aid to Bulgaria focusing on improving the quality of life of disadvantaged children and young people through fund-raising raising initiatives and events. Financial grants are awarded by the Committee to Bulgarian NGOs and institutions on the basis of project proposals.

To maintain the village hall by fundraising and put on events for the local community (eg bingo, skittles, quiz nights, dog training ). We also put on events to fund raise for other charities such as Air Ambulance, MacMillan, etc. The hall is also used by the Parish council and as a polling station

Cares for the destitute through training, job placement, also refugees, disabled, elderly, children, young people, homeless, people in crime,HIV/Aids and the sick,through a variety of services such as medical care, sports activities, emergency relief, music, drama, rehabilitation, education, campaign, community safety/Developments,representation, faith, housing, counselling,providing clean waters

SEAFORD LIFEGUARDS ARE A VOLUNTARY ORGANISATION WHO PATROL SEAFORD BEACH WEEKENDS AND BANK HOLIDAYS FROM 1ST MAY TO 30TH SEPTEMBER. THEY ALSO MONITOR THE BYELAWS FOR LEWES DISTRICT COUNCIL, INCLUDING SPEEDING BOATS WITHIN THE SWIMMING AREA AND DOG FOULING. THEY ENDEAVOUR TO PREVENT ACCIDENTS BY VIGILANT OBSERVATIONS AND WARNING OF THE DANGERS OF THE SHELVING SEA.

To save life, whether by prevention or rescue, from the beach, surf or aquatic environment.

Educational activities in Armenia and Artsakh by sponsoring schools; support welfare programmes in the devastated earthquake area and for homeless refugees; aid/renovate hospitals and educational institutions.
