The object of the charity is, for the public benefit, the advancement of the Christian faith through working with ambulance services and the wider health care sector in which ambulance professionals work.

SRDF supports relief and development projects and advocacy missions as well as provides capacity building through training, pools resources through its members and serves as a forum for debate delivering humanitarian aid and development projects.

During the 2022/23 financial year the choir performed 12 public concerts to raise funds for charities and good causes at the behest of concert organisers. Our nominated "Charity of the Year" for 2023/24 is SERV Kent aka Bloodrunners. Our Young Musicians programme has been enhanced by the creation of a Bursary to cover their travelling and incidental costs.

We run three weekly youth club sessions for school Yrs 5-6, 7-8 and Yrs 9 upward at Old Blacksmiths, 83, Market Place, Thirsk. We engage especially with young people uninterested in main stream youth activities, aiming to support them and the local community to empower, raise aspirations, and give hope. We partner with local organisations, North Yorkshire Youth, police and schools.

Operating a fleet of boats, vehicles, equipment, managed by a diverse team of experienced water safety volunteers.

Essex Retired Police Dogs Fund (ERPDF) operates in Essex and raises money from donations, promotional events and sale of merchandise. The Fund also runs Special Appeals. The Fund is part of and benefits from two lotteries. Monies raised are distributed to claimants for the vet and welfare care of Retired Police Dogs. ERPDF is a Member of the Association of Retired Police Dog Charities

To save life and improve the safety of Llanfairfechan Beach through prevention, rescue, training and teaching of surf lifesaving skills in particular but not exclusively by:1. Promoting the water safety aspect to all beach activities.2. Developing beach lifesaving methods in all their respects.3. Providing coaching and competitive opportunities in the sport of surf lifesaving.

The Trust continues in being active in Christian agencies working in the developing world, being engaged in work as widely varied as transport, emergency relief aid, education and the support of expatriate staff involved in long term mission and development
