The provision of residential care for 37 residents in Halas Homes, the assessment of their changing needs and care as required. Meeting all the requirements of the regulatory body (CSCI) and providing social housing locally for rent by people with a learning disability whose support needs are also provided by Halas Support Service.

The main objectives of the charity continues to focus on delivering a range of extensive care services within the fee structure, including the provision of post operative convalescence, short and long stay nursing/residential care. The Society's primary activity is to provide care and support to older people through the provision of residential care services at its site in Silverdale, Lancashire, plus a retirement living complex and a supported living unit, also on site. These services are open to all older people in need regardless of their mental or physical frailty and include people with dementia and end of life care.

Sheltered Housing and Residential Care for the Elderly

We provide services throughout the whole of the Black Country and Birmingham, to promote the wellbeing of carers and the person they care for. This includes CQC regulated services of domiciliary care and support, along with information, advice, guidance and training for carers, helping to improve lives, carer breakdown, resulting in admittance to hospital or longer term residential care.

Our principal activity is the 24 hour provision of residential accommodation and individual care to 37 elderly people, who need varying levels of support to assist them in their day to day activities. We employ professional and skilled carers and management. Residents' individuality and independence is actively promoted. An "open door" policy for residents and their families is in place.

Services for adults over 50yrs who require assistance with activities of daily living. These include assistance in their own homes through our Support at Home team, residential care at our care home Cornwell House, extra care living at Old School House, respite care based at Cornwell House, companion services, day services, dementia care and support services delivered through our Dementia Hub.
