Objective: We are committed to providing support to relieve the stresses experienced by carers and people with care needs by offering a respite service through the provision of community based carer support workers.

Sailors' Children's Society provides help to seafarers' children after a traumatic event such as bereavement/loss, diagnosis of terminal illness or breakdown of a marital relationship. Help includes clothing and children's welfare grants, respite breaks, emotional support and links to other specialist organisations for additional help. We aim to let children be children during difficult times.

Crossroads Care Staffordshire Limited's main aim is to support Carers in their caring role.-This is achieved through the provision of a respite service, usually within the carer's own home, provided by trained Care Support Workers.

The provision of Day respite care for carers of those suffering from Alzheimers, dementia, memory loss and for the sufferers themselves.

Reuben's Retreat will be a home-from-home for families coping with the serious illness of a child, providing respite breaks and the chance to build happy memories. We already provide support, counselling and well-being for children and young people with a life-limiting or life-threatening illness (medical complexities) and their parents and siblings, and for families bereaved of a precious child.

The charity provides respite for parents and carers who have young people with special needs in there care, also ensures a safe and heppy environment for after school clubs and evening entertainment for young people with special needs.

We support families of children with life-limiting conditions, aged 0-19, from point of diagnosis, through treatment and beyond, by listening and responding to their unmet need.Our holistic model of care provides fully accessible respite breaks for families living in the UK. Headway House provides a meeting place with facilities for improving mobility social, domestic, educational and social skills. The charity operates a Christian residential centre and holiday venue in the Yorkshire Dales. Guests enjoy holiday retreats, group residentials and respite breaks. The majority of group use is for church and Christian ministry getaways and conferences. Free to Be Kids provides respite holidays, therapeutic adventures, after-school support and a range of year round residentials for children who are struggling with social or emotional difficulties, significant social/financial disadvantage or who are growing up in marginalised communities. Without our work, many would not have support or a break from often extremely difficult home circumstances.

Ruddi's Retreat is a growing charity that helps families affected by Cancer or life limiting illnesses. We send families on holiday to one of our beautiful caravans situated at the 5 Star caravan park at Primrose Valley.In 2016 Gwennie's Getaways was launched under the Ruddi's Retreat umbrella. Families affected by Dementia can also enjoy a respite break.All applications are welcome.

Respite breaks for carers

Hugs from Henry provide support to families with childhood cancer, neuroblastoma and childhood cancer in Plymouth and Cornwall. This is done through group events, hospital visits and new to 2019 our first respite home.We have regular contact with families through emotional advice, visits and events.

Support to people of all ages with learning disability in & around Melton, through clubs, services and facilities for leisure-time occupation, and the development of skills for independent living. Personal support to people with learning disability in their homes and in the community, enabling respite for families and carers. A pre-school nursery inclusive of children with learning disability.

The charity provides residential, respite and activity opportunities for young people aged between 7 and 11. Young people from Leeds who are from backgrounds of challenge and disadvantage.

Play Inclusion Project provides respite to parents and carers of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities through short breaks activities. The charity delivers youth clubs, weekend clubs and holiday clubs during every school holiday period. We recruit staff and volunteers to meet the individual support needs of the children and young people who attend our activities.

Parkside provides children & adults with learning disabilities, living in the NE Hants and W Surrey the opportunity to develop their individual skills and take part in activities in their local community. We offer Work Experience, Life Skill Training, and the opportunity to develop Social Skills as well as providing Respite to parents and carers.
