Providing accommodation for the elderly

Runs family based children's homes for double orphaned children at risk of living on the street; provides grants and other educational support for orphaned and vulnerable children; runs computer skills training courses; makes microcredit loans to individuals and small businesses.

The KFN provides 24/7 advice and support to local Foster Carers and their families to help improve the lives of children in the care system within Kirklees. We also provide numerous activities for birth children and foster children to assist with their social esteem and well being.

The charity is a Christian church with a mandate to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. Activities include: Classes for elderly; Day centre activities, youth events & other social/cultural events.

Barnby Dun Community Association hosts a range of activities for all ages including a Tuesday morning Coffee Drop In, and other regular events such as Tai Chi, beavers, yoga, pilates, bujinkan and respite care. The hall can also be hired for private functions.

Day Centre every other week: (1) Information Sessions, cultural activities, Lunchon club, excersise classs, training volunteers with the help of Age Concern Birmingham, Adult education, ECT(2) Visit to diffrent religious places, day outings, anuual holidays overseas which are self financed.(3) Evening functions, information, dinner & dance ect.

The charity runs a day centre for disabled people open two days each week throughout the year. Various activities are organised, including a programme of outings during the summer months. The charity owns a mini-bus and provides transport for members. The day centre building and minibus have also been used by other groups of disabled people such as the Stroke Club, St Raphaels etc.

The Trust makes small grants to support charitable activities in India in the fields of health, education and poverty alleviation. At present the funds are allocated to support for a leper colony which also treats Aids victims and provides homes for destitute elderly women in Hyderabad, plus student fees and other support for government schools and lunches for an infant day centre in Chennai.

Respite at Home volunteers offers FREE befriending and support to patients and carers in their home

Activities for the benefit of sick and or disabled children by the provision of financial assistance to individuals, including holidays for themselves and their families. Funsani is a UK-based charity that supports Funsani Home, an orphanage in Kitwe, Zambia. The charity is led by volunteers who believe each child deserves an education and support to live a healthy, productive life. Our mission is to provide a safe, caring environment through Funsani Home and our partner network to support the wellbeing and education of vulnerable children impacted by HIV in Zambia

The Bush Centre is a day centre for the elderly inhabitants of Bampton and surrounding villages. It meets weekly and provides a hot two course meal as well as morning coffee and afternoon tea. A variety of talks, musical entertainment and outings support social stimulation.

BUDS, initially formed as a communal group in 1986, became a registered charity in 2000. BUDS has a multifaceted mission providing education and foster care support to children, livelihood opportunities, supporting the elderly, low-cost housing initiatives, addressing malnutrition, and conducting drug awareness and prevention programs for the deprived community in the Eastern part of Sri Lanka.
