CHAT supports families in Buckinghamshire with children who have special needs by funding short-term respite care, equipment and facilities.

Visits are made to Sri Lanka and courses in Counselling Skills taught to teachers, pastors and nurses. Equipment for schools, nurseries and orphanages has been purchased. A Play therapy room has been built at an orphanage and care mothers have been trained to use this. Music and drama therapy as well as group and individual counselling sessions are used to help the children with emotional issues.

Ummal Yatim Foundation operates as charity helping out orphans and needy children in Somalia. The charity raises funds through grants, fundraising etc and provides shelter, basic education, an orphanage centre, basic medical care, clothing etc for the orphanage and extremely needed children in Somalia

Through our charitable foundation, we aim to support and advance education by sponsoring economically disadvantaged students, relieve poverty by providing basic needs and food supplies to the economically challenged, promote health by supporting care homes and hospitals, and provide support to individuals and communities in need across our beloved island nation, St. Lucia.

We support another charity 'Jesus in Action Charities Friendly Society' (Reg. No. 1489) in Guyana, South America. Both charities have similar objectives: 1. Provision for needy children through a Children's Home near Parika, 2. Provision of medical care through an eye clinic in Linden, and 3. Setting up a Permaculture Farm.The UK charity is also open to providing similar services elsewhere.

To foster the historical and cultural links between Portugal and the United Kingdom through talks, lectures, visits, dinners and other social functions in honour of the Treaty of Windsor 1386 between Portugal and England, the world's oldest treaty of alliance. In addition the Society provides financial assistance to childrens' homes and charities in Portugal on a charitable basis.

Supports Aarti Home, a non profit organization located in Kadapa, South India (www.aartiforgirls.org). Aarti Home was featured in the BBC documentary called 'India's missing Girls' for its commendable work in eradication female foeticide, infanticide and girl child abandonment. Aarti home runs an orphanage for a 100 children, a school for 300 underprivileged children and a women's support center.

The provision of foster care in Malawi.

The charity is a local choir, providing social activities for local residents, mostly retired people. We give several concerts per year, much of the income going to local and national charities (eg a local hospice, Marie Curie cancer care etc.). Concerts are also given in local care homes.Recently we have successfully started a young peoples choir which is proving very popular.

Canon's House is a respite care home offering short term breaks away from home for children and young people with severe learning difficulties, and who may also have a physical disability. The object of the Friends of Canon's House is to engage in fundraising and activities which provide for the social welfare and enhance the experience of life of the young people who attend Canon's House.

Open House promotes the health and well-being of people with Learning Disabilities residing permanently or temporarily in Bedford Borough, by the provision of day centre facilities for learning, social engagement and recreational activities.Open House meets once a week on Wednesdays in St Marks Church Community Centre, Bedford

A social event and a meal for elderly, isolated clients; in addition a day off for their carer.

Provides family style very sheltered accommodation for elderly people. A redsident Housekeeper living next door cooks two meals a day and provides some support to the residents. Personal care is not provided and residents are expected to be described as living independantly.

Publication of a specialist journal for carers and practitioners working with people of all ages with profound and multiple learning disabilities. Provision of a website with useful resources and archive of journal. Use of Facebook/Twitter and collaboration with other organizations in the field in disseminating information and good practice.

Our primary focus is the relief of poverty in Asia. We have focused primarily on activities benefiting children through homes and education projects.We worked with a children's project in Cambodia but more recently our efforts are concentrated in Myanmar where we have built a children's home and a number of educational projects in Yangon as well as in more remote regions of the country

Provide community activities and a meeting place for the village, activities include Youth provision, Aged Persons Day Centre, Resident Group Meetings, Toddler Group, Weekly Youth Club, Well Being Group and Warm Hub

Our activities: is to elevate poverty: Africa, England and Wales To support children and young women against domestic violence, Orphans-care, education, food, clothes, & medical assistance. HIV/ AIDS sufferers. Health education in diet and nutrition. Management and leadership training. Nursery and primary school for children and the youth, Women and Girls Save-A-Life campaign.

Classical guitar ensemble for local children - rehearsals and performances, education in classical guitar playing and music - to raise funds for hall hire, music, equipment, and to donate money to local charities. Also performing for free at festivals, events, care homes, hospitals etc.

We are a charity in a rural area of Wiltshire. We provide transport to the general public, but mainly the elderly for visits to GP's surgeries, hospitals in three major cities, dentists, vets and residential homes. We also provide a limited service of shopping.

We are currently supporting the work of Way of Hope in Hungary. The aim of the work is to instruct children in Hungary morally, spiritually and socially by introducing them to the Christian faith. Way of Hope work with children in orphanages and mother and children himes and have a summer programme of camps.

In accordance with the objectives and activity of the Society of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary the religious society organizes and manages residential care homes for older persons in most need. The religious society has more than 30 years experience in organising and managing care homes.

The activities the charity is the prevention or relief of poverty and to provide relief to those in need by providing grants or services to the children of Sonepat, Harayana India, in particular those living at the Immanuel Orphanage.
