Social care Charities

Ewket activities are directed to support a group of youth in Asko suburb of Addis Abeba, raised in an orphanage and living with HIV, to access further education and other support and councelling. This typically takes place by giving grants to pay for school fees and transport costs.

1.Currently raising funds to keep the respite care flats in the Wirksworth Care Centre for the Elderly in operation.2.To provide equipment for the use of the residents of the care centre.3.To raise funds for the benefit and well being of the care centre residents.

To provide non-institutional assistance to orphaned and abandoned children, particularly those abandoned with AIDS in Romania and eastern europe. Extend charities activities to assist orphans and abandoned children in Asia by providing grants, sponsorship and management and support for family model non-institutional care home

Help and support for homeless youth in the UK and in Uganda. Practical help is given by volunteers to individuals and families with children under immediate threat of homelessness. Grants and/or loans may be made and the Charity currently provides financial support for a children's home in southern Uganda with approx. 30 residents.

Charitable Activities

To provide a safe enviroment for elderly, and disabled people to come together and socialise, play games, participate in discussions, arm chair exercise and share experiences. They are provided with a hot nutritious meal at the centre.The users also enjoy participating in summer BBQ, and trips, including to the seaside and theatre, as well as celebrating events such as Black History Month

Provision of supported accommodation for the elderly and/or infirm

To advance the provision of leisure, outdoor play and educational facilities for disabled children receiving a residential short break service at Chancet Wood Children's Home, plus improve the facilities and environment, and also provide better moving and handling equipment to make their stay more comfortable.

A CLUB WHICH OFFERS ACTIVITIES TO PEOPLE WITH A DISABILTY AND PROVIDES A RESPITE PERIOD FOR THEIR FAMILIES.ACTIVITES INCUDE ARTS & CRAFTS, GAMES, OUTINGS.THE CLUB IS OPEN TO ALL AGES.

Exercises, Needle Crafts, Basket making, Computer classes, Day Trips and Short breaks, board games,talks including, health awareness, home secruity, energy saving, lunch club, Home visits etc.

Balloon Circus uses performing arts and play to support the physical and social development of children living in orphanages across the world. It aims to increase the confidence and expand the experiences of the children it works with by teaching new skills, supporting creative exploration and strengthening existing relationships within a fun, nurturing yet challenging environment.

Our areas of support are for looked after children and young people who volunteer to be engaged with us, helping them to realise their potential and to find a positive destination when they leave care:1. 1:1 Tuition2. Mentoring3. Work experience in the public sector4. Pursuit of apprenticeships5. Transition to independent working life6. Incentives which reward personal excellence

Gives grants through Social Services Departments and voluntary organisations for the relief of poverty. To enhance the independence of people with disabilities with grants towards respite care, household equipment, aids and adaptations etc.

We provide a radio service for hospitals, residential homes and similar institutions, and for patients receiving community care to aid the relief of sickness, poor health and old age amongst people living in Wigan and its surrounding areas; and to advance the promotion of the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle for public benefit. This is done from our studio at Wrightington Hospital

The charity continues to give small donations to individuals residing in Biggleswade and donations to local institutions (e.g. the Sue Ryder Care Home nearby) which operate for the benefit of those who reside in Biggleswade.

The main theme has been maintained throughout the year of 3rd World humanitarian relief and related projects. The main focus has been on financially supporting charity proposals associated with Uganda , Tibet/China, Indonesia and North Malawi. These include medical, orphanage, educational, and water drilling support.

TALKS IN SCHOOLS, YOUNG OFFENDERS' PRISONS, CARE HOMES AND SO ON. TO MOTIVATE YOUNG PEOPLE ON THE PATH OF EDUCATION AND THE NEED FOR EDUCATION IN THEIR LIVE'S , MENTORING YOUNG PEOPLE, WORKING WITH THE WHOLE FAMILIES ALSO SO THAT THE PATH BECOMES A BETTER AND BRIGHTER PATH, GETTING YOUNG PEOPLE TO FOLLOW THEIR DREAMS AND PASSIONS..

To continue to support and improve the services we offer our patients by either purchasing and updating medical equipment or by improving the quality of care provided. In order to achieve the latter we have sent our nursing staff on certain, approved training days or courses to improve medical knowledge and skills employed in day to day care of patients.

To provide residential care for the elderly, sick and infirm. (currently dormant).

Our charity provides food, clothing, education and care for orphans and underprivileged children in Malawi. We hope in the future we will be able to branch out to other parts of Africa. At the moment we are working in a village called Chisusu in Malawi where we have 40 children under our care. Our plan is to build them a school and orphanage and small clinic.

We provide information and support to those with learning disabilities and their parents/carers/families. We have provided an inclusive playpark in Exeter. We make grants towards holidays for carers and those with a learning disability and we donate money on a regular basis towards the running of a social evening for people with a learning disability.
