The charity was established by a trust deed on January 1964 with the objective of raising funds for rendering relief and assistance to poor and distressed Freemasons and their dependents, and for any charitable (including educational) object which would in law be a good charitable gift.

COLLECTING AND DISPENSING CHARITABLE DONATIONS TO MASONIC AND NON-MASONIC ORGANISATIONS

Donations for charitable purposes other than the relief of need together with donations to Mark Master Masons or their dependants for the relief of need.

The charity provides interest-free loans and, in exceptional circumstances, grants to relieve the following persons where they are in need, hardship or distress:- current and former employees of the Charity Commission;- in the case of death or incapacity of current and former employees of the Charity Commission, their dependents.

Gives grants to individuals who reside within the Ecclesiastical Parish of St Pauls, Weymouth, Dorset who are in welfare need.
