Bereavement support

The principal objects and activities of the charity are the provision of resources and facilities that benefit and support young people who are disadvantaged by reason of having become the victims of crime or bereavement and to reward those who are judged to have shown exemplary conduct making a positive contribution to sick or disabled relatives or to the welfare of others or society in general.

LHTBI provides financial assistance to persons who are or have been, employed in the leather industry and who are aged or incapacitated from earning a livelihood. Bereaved spouses are also eligible to apply. Typically applicants should have spent a minimum of ten years service in the leather industry.

SAGE Counselling provides a counselling service for adults of all ages, and those with limited mobility, who may be faced with adjusting to retirement, loss of independence, bereavement, loneliness, unresolved conflicts, disability, illness and the finality of death.

Practical and emotional support including:Cardiac Psychotherapy and Bereavement Support. Dance Exercise, tai chi, yoga and cardiac exercise by qualified instructors. Reiki. Indian Head Massage. Weight Management support and blood pressure checking. Health Information and Advice Talks. Indoor Games. Outings and holidays.

Outreach programmes,bible studies, prayer meetings and Sunday Church services, Christian annual festivals,visiting the bereaved, celebrating birth, baptisms, practical support with finances, food and clothes and shelter, providing spiritual support to people who are battling with addictions, mental breakdowns, physical illness, domestic violence, and racial prejudice and praying for the sick.

We provide families across the UK with Help in Hospital Grants to offer financial assistance to families with a seriously ill child in hospital for 10 days or more. Memory Making Grants give families with a seriously ill child the opportunity to have a special day out together and Getaways provide free holiday accommodation in Snowdonia for bereaved families and those with seriously ill children.

Provision of support to bereaved parents and families, where a baby has died from a twin, triplet or higher order multiple pregnancy before, during or after birth.Promoting best practice for employers and health professionals when dealing with bereaved families.

TGGP provides comfort and support to families grieving after the sudden or untimely death of a loved one - in particular the death of a son or daughter. We encourage an active and creative response to grief, we raise awareness about the needs of the bereaved and promote an understanding of what it means to grieve in a culture that has difficulty talking openly about death, dying or bereavement.

We provide and promote CPR and Lifesaving skills training through schools, colleges, councils and community groups. We carry out little acts of kindness including providing toiletry items to homeless people, young people living in hostel accommodation and victims of domestic violence. The Sammy-sized GAP programme is dedicated to providing comprehensive postvention support to families and friends bereaved by suicide in Pembrokeshire. Our structured approach includes a variety of activities designed to address the immediate and long-term needs of those affected, while also fostering a more supportive and resilient community.

The Association aims:a) Offer friendship, support to widows/ers and partners of deceased army personnel .b) Address issues relating to widows/ers and their children with the Army authorities.c) Work closely with other ex-Service specialist organizations in support of widows/widowers and their children.d] Bereavement counselling and life skills advice and support
