Our centre is self-financing and managed by volunteers. We provide a pleasant venue for local residents and groups. A day-centre for the elderly of Bromham & Rowde providing companionship, a hot two course meal and activities including companionship, exercises, card playing, bingo and musical entertainment.

We provide the hall's facilities for local groups ranging through the W.I, a gardeners society, flower arrangers, keep-fit, retirement groups, childrens parties, other social events, Parish Council meetings plus a field for the local school.

Byrness village hall provides recreation facilities for people in the area. There are weekly craft groups of card making and patchwork/quilting.Throughout the year there are social events for both children and adults eg halloween party, new years eve.The hall is also available for hire by private groups and is used by the parish council, whist groups , church groups etc.

Educational and social activities for young people with an interest in the countryside.

Provides a comfortable meeting place at which retired citizens regardless of social class, race or creed can meet friends, have a chat or purchase refreshments. There is no membership fee to join. Friends of the centre organise fund raising and social activities. The activities are on going.

The Charity provides welfare aid, social activities and trips to members who are or have been members of the Forces and who are resident in Huddersfield or its vacinity.
