Norton and Lenchwick Village hall holds community and social events for the parish

We provide social interaction for ladies over 60 to prevent isolation and loneliness by providing weekly bingo sessions, day trips and monthly social evenings. The ladies get out and about, support each other and provide companionship and social interaction.

TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY SPIRIT WITHIN THE SCHOOL AND BUILD / STRENGTHEN RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN PARENTS AND WHERE APPRORIATE PARENTS AND TEACHERS BY ORGANISING SOCIAL EVENTS AND SMALL FUND RAISING EVENTS TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT WHICH WILL COMPLEMENT AND ENHANCE FACILITIES OF THE SCHOOL.

THE EXCELLENT FACILITIES ARE USED BY MANY LOCAL ORGANISATIONS PROVIDING DANCING LESSONS, KEEP FIT, YOGA ETC. THE HALL IS ALSO AVAILABLE FOR PRIVATE PARTIES AND SOCIAL EVENTS, QUIZ EVENINGS, CHILDREN'S PARTIES AND OTHER LOCAL EVENTS.

Providing social and friendship activities for former and present members of the Royal Air Force. In this Branch, these are now elderly and retired.Collecting and raising funds for the Royal Air Forces 'Wings' Appeal that supports welfare needs of former and current members of the Royal Air Force.The Branch operates in the Romford town and immediately surrounding areas.

Upkeep and running of Village Hall which provides a venue for many local activities including Playgroup, Toddler group, Badminton, Bowls, Ballet and Dance classes and meetings plus hiring out to local people for private social events.

THE HALL IS A COMMUNITY CENTRE FOR THOSE WHO RESIDE IN THE THREE VILLAGES OF SUTTON,BARLAVINGTON AND BIGNOR. IT IS ALSO AVALIABLE FOR HIRE BY PEOPLE LIVING OUTSIDE THE AREA.THE HALL IS USED BY GROUPS SUCH AS THE W.I.,PARISH CHURCH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH COUNCIL FOR MEETINGS AND THE HALL'S COMMITTEE PUT ON VARIOUS SOCIAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE THREE VILLAGES.

We exist to maintain a community facility i.e. a modern purpose built village hall in the parish of Nackington and Lower Hardres. This is available for use by local people and organisations for social events, the provision of entertainment education and exercise. It is also available to people from the wider community who provide such opportunities for people of the parish and surrounding areas.

We produce, one musical show in May and one Play in November. We may occasionally put on another short show or review. We have other social events throughout the year for members and friends to raise funds.

Those funds, in certain circumstances can be "multplied" via the Rotary Matching Grants at District, National and International level to fund larger project, particularly to assist in poorer countries. In addition assistance can be offered in practical waysby Rotarians employing their business skills to help others.

Stanton Village Hall provides a community building for physical and mental training, and the recreational, social, moral and intellectual development of inhabitants of Stanton and the immediate vicinity. The Hall hosts activities such as tai chi, karate, keep-fit, and support groups. It hosts the local defibrillator and runs community activities (litterpicks, village social events).

Langton Herring Village Hall provides a centre for all residents to meet, socialise and exercise. It offers a suitable location for the various village clubs from Table tennis, Art, Choir, Gardening and Talks on a regular basis. It is also a regular meeting place for external groups including the Parish Council and occasional visits from the local MP.

The aim of the charity is to maintain a community hub building so that local groups and children have somewhere to hold events, and to organise activities that will benefit people of all ages in the area by providing information, recreation, and opportunities for social interaction.
