Home-Start North West Leicestershire is a voluntary home visiting scheme offering friendship, support and practical help to families who have at least one child under five.

We are a Community Centre operating in the Warbreck Ward area of North Liverpool, social, education and leisure opportunities for the community. The activities we offer are; senior citizens activities, health/well being events, learning circles, adult education classes, social activities and community resource for local residents groups

Friends of Thorngrove Charity is focused on the following :- Raise money for the items that can be donated to Thorngrove School for the educational enhancement of the pupils- Raise monies for nominated national and local charities- Act as a focal point for social events that will foster a community spirit with parents, teachers and pupils

The charity carries out fund raising events to run and maintain a Village Hall for the benefit of the local community. These include social events i.e. Quiz Nights, Children's events, Music Concerts, Bingo, etc., and larger events e.g. Rock Show, Wedding Fayres, Christmas Fayre etc. It's also hired out for a number of activities e.g. Bridge, Yoga, Toddlers Play, Choir, Yoga, private functions etc.

Social Activities for the Young

Young at Heart offers help and support to families of babies and children receiving treatment for a cardiac condition at the Birmingham Children's Hospital. We provide ward visits for families and work with the Heart Unit at the Birmingham Childrens Hospital. Our aim is to bring the families together at social events, where they can meet with other families, share experiences and make new friends.

CREATION OF A HOMELY PLACE FOR YOUTH TO SOCIALISE, ANNUAL SUMMER EVENTS ETC.INVOLVES IN COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS THAT BRING PEOPLE FROM DIVERSE ETHNIC BACKGROUND TOGETHER TO FOSTER UNITY

The memorial hall provides a meeting place for local organisations and a venue for social events. it is available for groups and individuals to hire for social and fund-raising events.

The main activity of the charity is to raise funds for the support of the Community Care Centre by means of our charity shop and organising social events, attending fetes etc which help our funds and gain publicity.

Volunteer support for young families who are experiencing difficult and stressful situations. Our Volunteers who are parents themselves, visit families in their own home once a week and offer friendship, support and practical help. All families supported by the charity must have at least one child under five years of age and live in one of the two districts of Daventry and South Northants.
