The Maximus Foundation is committed to helping people in need. The focus is to support charities that help disadvantaged people and make a real difference to people's lives; through health, employment or community development.The Maximus Foundation supports charities by providing them with meaningful grants, which enables the organisation's to drive forward their core mission and purpose.

The charity provides outreach support, both day and evening, along with peer group support sessions to women working in prostitution, and other vulnerable women, in the city of Hull. We offer friendship, advice and opportunity for change, including practical help and advice on sexual and general health, and housing.

The advancement of the public in the,precepts and practice of Hinduism and in particular Saivaism and to promote "Community service through Saiva (Hindu) concern".The relief of sickness,financial hardship and preservation of health and in particular among people affected by the tsunami or any other natural or unforeseen disaster in Sri-Lanka or any part of Asia.

Our activities widen access to literature and improve diversity within publishing. We run projects that empower people from disadvantaged backgrounds and deprived communities to get their voices heard, mentor aspiring authors so that they can produce books that are widely read and which dispel negative stereotypes, as well as supporting books with important social and environmental themes.

The Posh Club runs daytime social and entertainment clubs for people over the age of 60 years old with the aims of reducing social isolation and loneliness, improving well being and helping people to feel part of their local community.

The provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation for girls who are in need of such provision because of their youth, age, infirmity, poverty, or social and economic circumstances and with the objects of improving conditions of life.

We provide free period/incontinence product's, toiletries, clothing, shoes, bedding & food to anyone in need across Tess Valley. The customers we support are people referred to us from our referral partners. The item's given to beneficiaries are donations made by the public or purchased with funding from other sources. We support anyone with financial, emotional, vulnerability or crisis issues.

Waddington Street Centre specialises in the provision of a wide range of learning opportunities for people experiencing mental health difficulties. We aim to help people live fulfilling lives in the community by offering opportunities for personal development, social interaction, and by supporting recovery. We are also committed to countering stigma and discrimination.

Over 27,600 people live below the poverty line in East Riding of Yorkshire. We provide 3 days' emergency food and support to local men, women and children in crisis. Our vision is to ensure that no-one in East Riding of Yorkshire has to go hungry.All of our food is generously donated by people in the local community (schools, businesses, churches and individuals).

THE CHARITY AIMS ARE TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION BY PREVENTING SOCIAL EXCLUSION AND RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED IN SALFORD, MANCHESTER AND THE REST OF THE UK. CURRENT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE PROVISION OF EMERGENCY FOOD PARCELS THROUGH SALFORD FOODBANK.

To support bereaved children, including wider support to family care-givers, professionals and the community, enabling them to provide a supportive environment where grieving children can be understood and share their experiences as they move through their own healing process. We provide a range of support services to meet these needs.

We support families of children diagnosed with cancer in South Wales through equipment grants, hardship grants, bereavement boxes and peer support events. We also contribute to projects run by major welsh childhood cancer charities that benefit our families.

The relief of poverty of persons who are or have been engaged professionally as air pilots or air navigators and who are British subjects by birth or by naturalisation or who are liverymen, upper freemen or freemen of the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators of London.The relief of poverty and/or advancement of education of the dependants widows and orphans of all such persons mentioned above.

We are a Parish Church with church activities including Church Services, Prayer Meetings, Home Groups and Fellowship Meetings. We have a number of weekly social activities for church members. Our Hall is available for community hire.

Home-Start Camden and Islington trains volunteers who then provide regular support, friendship and practical help to families (which have at least one child under 5). Home-Start Camden and Islington provides back up and supervision of the volunteers as the families supported are generally the most disadvantaged in Camden and Islington.
