Social welfare Charities

The Foundation supports the following; Social Welfare - particularly the relief of need, hardship and distress, Community Development, work which supports Children, Young People and the Elderly, local Hospitals and Hospices and Christian Activities. Grants can be one-off or recurrent and are made primarily in Tyneside and Northumberland.

We provide holidays for families who are in poverty. We focus on Beds, Buckinghamshire and the Isle of Wight

The Charity makes donations for the benefit of children and other charitable causes.The Charity sponsors visits to Childrens' care homes and hospices by the theatrical group, Magical Quests.The Charity supports the Society of Friends of Jewish Refugees and the Cinematograph Trades Benevolent Fund.

We mainly provide services to the young people from the disadvantaged communities and our activities are, but not limited to, as follows:-- Relief Poverty- Education- Playgroup- Mentoring and Lifeskills- Family learning

As a Foodbank, we collect and distribute Food.

The CofE's church in Bunbury, we work to spread the Christian message in the parish and beyond by providing regular public worship open to all, pastoral care and practical support to those in need, support of other local, national and international charities that care for the disadvantaged, employment of a part-time youth worker, and by enabling community events and faithful engagement.

The current main activity of the charity is to find sponsors for deprived children in the Philippines to enable them to receive an education, but also providing food, clothing, school transport, medical and dental care so that they are in a physical condition to obtain the maximum benefit from their education.

To provide and assist in providing facilities for sport, health, education and social inclusion or other leisure time occupation of such persons who have need for such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement poverty or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving their conditions of life.

1) To enhance goodwill and religious ties with the other religions.2) To propagate the Buddhist teaching to those who are interested.3) To provide a place of worship and give spiritual refuge for all Buddhists in the UK irrespective of their Ethnic origins.

The Charity is financed from rents collected from properties owned in Whitstable and the surrounding area and from interest on invested funds. This income is then applied for the relief from hardship or distress of persons living in Whitstable.

We are a charity run by one paid co-ordinator and six and volunteers with an overall executive committee. We provide 2 drop in advice surgeries, an English Language Befriending project and an annual Summer outing, a women's social group and other social activitiesWe also provide regular website updates for our contacts and our service users.

To relieve unemployment for the benefit of the public in Essex, by the provision of opportunities for volunteering, training and work experience to increase their employability by means of a wood recycling project based in Pitsea; and to relieve financial hardship by the provision of courses in money management and debt counselling.

In accordance with the Constitution, the principal activity of the charity is to promote the welfare, education, social and recreational needs of inhabitants within the City of Derby who are elderly or in poor mental health. The activities provide culturally sensitive services at the day centre on Burton Road and the main client group are members from the African and Caribbean communities.

Trustees consider making donations to a broad range of UK and overseas charities where possible concentrating on the relief of suffering and poverty and on education.

Open 79 hours per week over 7 days, providing a welcoming place for 450 individuals, groups and local residents of all ages to access a wide range of recreational and leisure activities, projects and supportive interventions each week. We make a practical and positive difference by addressing the root causes of multiple deprivation and work towards overcoming social exclusion.

As part of the Church of England we provide public worship. We operate a food bank at Christ the King Church. We run groups for the elderly and isolated. Our building are used by several groups offering preschool, tutoring, sessions for the disabled, karate and other activities.We have links with a number of local primary schools, taking assemblies or hosting their "Carol" service.

Its objective is to provide relief to families in need of recuperation and rehabilitation by reason of their poverty or social/economic circumstances, both in the United Kingdom and countries overseas. TheTrust does not provide financial assistance to individuals.

We also carry out global environmental activities to mitigate the impact of climate change. Through the merger with Doctors of Rahman DOR we have a huge potential now of specialist doctors teaching/operating and fundraising.

THE BASINGSTOKE FOODBANK RECEIVES DONATIONS OF NON-PERISHABLE FOOD DIRECTLY FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND VIA SUPERMARKET APPEALS.THESE DONATIONS ARE SORTED INTO FOOD-TYPES AND CHECKED FOR USE-BY END DATE AND THEN STORED.PARTNER AGENCIES ISSUE VOUCHERS TO CLIENTS JUDGED BY THEM TO BE IN URGENT NEED OF FOOD-SUPPORT. VOUCHERS ARE REDEEMED AT THE FOODBANK CENTRE FOR 3-DAYS SUPPLY OF FOOD.
