The charity undertakes, promotes and commissions research into the maintenance and observance of human rights, particularly those set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; and disseminates the results of such research to governments, parliamentarians, inter-governmental organisations, non-governmental organisations and the general public in the United Kingdom.

The Trust sponsors an annual lecture and its work is unique in that there is no similar lecture promoted in this way in the human rights field. It provides a special opportunity to enable a selected audience to meet and hear a talk on an important and topical subject of general interest

To provide advice/information on welfare rights, housing, primary healthcare, education, training, employment, environmental issues, human rights. people with disabilities, help the homeless people, to advance the education of children and to relieve poverty amongst Bangladeshi's in the UK.

Supports the advancement of education, religion, health and saving of lives, citizenship and community development, the Arts, culture, heritage and science, human rights, conflict resolution etc, and Charities providing assistance to those in need.

Provide grants, technical assistance/capacity building in organisational and management development, project design, planning, proposal writing, fund-raising, implementation, monitoring & evaluation techniques for local/Zimbabwean NGOs and community groups promoting and protecting human rights through programmes to assist victims of human rights abuses, including displaced persons and refugees.

Assisting residents and claimants living and working in Tower Hamlets of Bangladeshi origin and others on education, housing, employment , human rights and community development. Liaise and work with UK government agencies and NGOs in education, housing, cultural heritage, development and to relieve the sufferings and distress of people in need of health and social care services in Bangladesh.

Promotion and awareness of human rights

Promote conservation of environment and natural resources, advance the education of human rights, democratic institutions of science and technology, to advance unity of all religious faiths, relief of poverty and in particular to advance education in the UK concerning India, its people, heritage, language and culture.
