To advance the public's appreciation of the art of folk music by- providing folk music acts with the opportunity to be able to perform at concerts, festivals and other events- increasing public access and exposure to folk music through developing, promoting and encouraging its practice.The term 'folk music' includes both contemporary and traditional forms.
