Members of the Boys' Brigade are encouraged to attend Church, Brigade Award Schemes and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. The Battalion encourages its members to participate in competitions, camps and other activities to enable boys (and girls) aged 5 to 18 to develop skills in competing, communicating, making friends, and experiencing new activities .
