The Friends of Raymond was founded in 1996 to rebuild and preserve nb Raymond - the last wooden narrowboat built in the UK. She was built in 1958 at Barlows yard, Braunston and is of great historical importance and is registered in the National Historic Ships register. The charity displays and maintains the boat alongside its motor boat - Nutfield - which is also owned by the charity.
