Activities & Mission

Our Charity is dedicated to advancing education in the art, life and times of Edward Alfred (Ted) Lewis, more particularly known for being the author of the gangster film, Get Carter, and securing the reputation of becoming Father of British Noir. We hold a national archive of his work, art and ancillary objects and records in a Centre in Lewis's home town of Barton upon Humber in Lincolnshire.
