To restore, preserve, maintain & exhibit in sailing condition the steamship known as VIC 96 and other ships for the benefit of the public and, to acquire, preserve, maintain & exhibit a collection of marine & other appurtenances & materials associated with VIC 96 and other ships to educate the public in the historical significance of them in terms of the nation's maritime and industrial heritage.
