Activities & Mission

Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team operates in the Wasdale and Eskdale valleys of the Lake District and the surrounding mountains. Our aim is to save life and alleviate distress primarily in upland areas. We have a team of up to 50 fully trained volunteers, on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week operating from our base in Gosforth, Cumbria.
