THE SOCIETY IS ESTABLISHED TO UNDERTAKE THE FOLLOWING: A)TO PROMOTE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH INTO ALL ASPECTS OF MINES, CAVES AND OTHER UNDERGROUND SITES, ESPECIALLY IN THE SOUTH EAST OF ENGLAND, AND TO PUBLISH THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH.
