Activities & Mission

Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team operates under the umbrella of the Peak District Mountain Rescue Organisation. It works under the control of local police forces to search and assist the police; in the Peak District, in wild & remote areas, in urban areas and in other areas when called upon to do so. All team members are volunteers. The team relies entirely on fundraising and donations.
