Ride High has been set up to help disadvantaged and troubled children from Milton Keynes and the surrounding neighbourhood by giving them the opportunity to ride and look after horses. The aim is to give them a new focus in their lives and to provide them with long term support and new skills that will help them participate positively in society in the future.

This user led service includes:Educational and social development, voluntary work and community projects, horse riding and farm skills, art and craft, sports,dance, singing, cooking, makaton, mental wellbeing, healthy lifestyles and relationship training. Also group attend disco's, cinema, theatres, and can enjoy an addittional week away.

The Trust supports farming and food production projects that are economically sound, democratic, socially just, humane to animals, and promote the long-term protection of the biosphere

Strength & Learning Through Horses has a primary purpose to promote the mental wellbeing and education (including social and physical training) of people who are not in education or training (NEETS), those at risk of becoming NEET and people with learning difficulties.

The provision of an educational resource for the benefit of those in Merton and neighbouring boroughs to which people can contribute and gain skills, confidence and knowledge in areas such as agriculture, horticulture and equine studies.

Run the annual Dorset County Show incorporating classes for livestock, horticulture, homecraft and horses. Use the Show to promote agriculture in all its forms.

Detached Youth Work, Emotional Literacy and one-one mentoring, Family Work, Schools Work, Project Work and Equine & Animal Assisted Learning.

TAKE IN UNWANTED OR ABANDONED DOGS AND GIVE APPROPRIATE CARE, PROTECTION, TREATMENT AND SECURITY BY REASON OF SICKNESS, MALTREATMENT, POOR CIRCUMSTANCES OR ILL USAGE AND TO REHOME THEM APPROPRIATELY AFTER DUE ASSESSMENT.TAKE IN INJURED OR DISPLACED WILDLIFE, PROVIDE MEDICAL CARE, REHABILITATION AND SAFE RELEASE.PROVIDE SANCTUARY, MEDICAL CARE AND REHABILITATION FOR RESCUE PONIES AND HORSES.

The Objects of the Charity are to relieve the suffering of dogs and horses, in particular Greyhounds, Lurchers and Heavy Horses. To provide and maintain kennels and stabling for the reception and care of these unwanted dogs and horses and to finance their necessary upkeep and veterinary costs prior to them being re-homed if and when possible.

The Charity's objects are to promote the interests of pony breeding and to encourage the use and protection of ponies. To promote and facilitate the acquisition and distribution of the knowledge of the various arts and sciences connected with the pony and the use and management thereof.

A voluntary organisation that provides personal development for children and young people through learning to look after and ride horses.The charity is open to all - irrespective of background or ability. Riders with special needs (including adults) who cannot be catered for through our mainstream activities participate through our dedicated Riding for the Disabled section.

To relieve the suffering of animals, in particular but not exclusively horses. We promote humane behaviour by providing appropriate care, protection, & security for animals which need attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances & age & to educate the public in animal welfare. We provide equine therapeutic help for young people & vulnerable adults in need.

THE HOLDING OF AN ANNUAL AGRICULTURAL AND HORSE SHOW ON FIRST SATURDAY IN SEPTEMBER AND ON FARM COMPETITIONS IN A RESTRICTED AREA THROUGHOUT THE YEAR WITH OTHER ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES FOR MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC.

Thornberry Animal Sanctuary continues its work started in 1988 of rescuing domestic or pet animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and many other smaller animals, as well as horses and ponies and some goats, sheep, hens and ducks. We give them relief from abandonment, abuse or neglect. We care for them, assess and treat them as needed and find good permanent homes for them.

The protection of horses and smaller animals from ill usage, cruelty and suffering by the provision and maintenance of an animal refuge and such other facilities.

Provide for children of Brixton an opportunity to access the sport of horse riding and also other related social activities.

Provision of horse riding and carriage driving for disabled adults and children.

The provision of horse and pony riding to people with special needs

The British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre works for the welfare of all Thoroughbreds and retired racehorses. BTRC assesses and then rehabilitates, retrains and re-homes these horses to permanent loan homes throughout the UK where they are regularly monitored. BTRC never buys or sells horses - the horses are donated to the charity and remain in the BTRC's ownership for the rest of their lives.

The Society's principle charitable objective is the improvement and promotion of English cart horses, more particularly the Shire horse and, to this end, maintaining a Stud Book in which are entered the names of all registered Shire horses complying with the conditions for the time being applied by the Society.

Therapeutic and recreational horse riding for disabled people. Recreational and sporting horse riding and stable management. Training to local young adults leading to professional qualifications as riding instructors.
