Local community based choir making 2 concert performances per year and encouraging where possible the use of local young peopl and locally based soloists and musicians

We are a voluntary group who run our local community centre building. The building is available for hire for a range of activities from childrens birthday parties to ballroom dancing. Regular users include: Churwell Action Group, Striker Tots - football, Keep Fit, Pilates, Community Choir and Methodist Church.

Male Voice Choir

Approximately 55 members of ages between 16 & 80 yrs make up Stourport Choral. The choir performs concerts in a wide range of musical styles from light to serious opera, classical to modern choral & including music from popular shows. This friendly group's commitment is to provide live quality entertainment in a socially active atmosphere. We rehearse each Wed at 7.30pm, at Areley Kings Hall

The Choir's mission is to practice and perform choral and orchestral works of educational and artistic merit.

We hold an annual party for Senior Citizens and fundraise for various charities by carrying out a number of activities such as Carol singing, raffles, etc.

Providing operatic performances for the general public. Training and educating members in the art of singing opera with a musical accompaniment

To bring to public performance music in the Western European classical tradition that would otherwise not be readily available in the area of North Wales where we are based.

To further the education and for the advancement in life of boys who have sung in the choir of Canterbury Cathedral.

We are a mixed voice choir of around 70 members who rehearse weekly during term time. We perform a varied repertoire and stage between 4 and 6 major concerts a year as well as more informal performances to the local community. Our aim is for people of all ages and abilities to experience the joy of singing and listening to choral music.

The music festival runs competitive and non-competitive music classes on the second and third Saturday each November for adults and children in vocal, piano, choral and ensemble music categories.

We are a choir. We sing at weddings and funerals. We give concerts most terms. We sing beautiful music from all over the world. We usually ask for donations after each concert, rather than have a set ticket price, so as to make our concerts accessible to as many people as possible. We ask the audience to gift aid their donations where possible.

We support local charities.

Carpet bowls, yoga classes, knitting and craft classes, musical baby singing, Community bingo, MS exercise class, children's parties, Wine group.

Ide Memorial Hall is the village hall for Ide. It provides facilities for community activities such as meetings, fitness and dance, drama, choir, art group and similar. The Hall is also available for private hire for children's parties and receptions and the like. All age groups are catered for. The Hall has recently undergone an extensive renovation with modernised toilets and kitchen.

Choral singing, with concerts given in the autumn, at Christmas and in Spring. Concerts are mainly held in the St. Austell area.

To perform choir concerts in a variety of venues from Church Halls to Churches and Concert Halls, for a variety of organisations including Charities. We have a wide range of musical styles, from 'pop' to oratorio.

THE COMPANY PROMOTES AND PRESENTS PUBLIC PERFORMANCES OF OPERA, OPERETTA AND MUSICAL THEATRE. IT PARTICULARLY AIMS TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SINGERS, DESIGNERS, DIRECTORS AND MUSICIANS TO DEMONSTRATE AND DEVELOP THEIR TALENTS AT AN EARLY STAGE IN THEIR CAREERS, AND ENCOURAGE THE DEVELOPMENT OF KEEN AMATEUR SINGERS.

The charity was formed to advance the education of choristers, to hold concerts, to advance, promote, improve, develop and maintain public education and enjoyment in the appreciation of the art and science of music.

Usually activities involving all sections of the community,i.e. rental for classes such as yoga, dog training, band practices, family parties, games evenings,lectures, fund raising for the hall itself and external needy charities, choral works etc.

Singing training to male members, giving concerts to support other charitable and community based organisations.

THE CHOIR PROVIDES A FRIENDLY OPPORTUNITY FOR MEN IN SOUTH CHESHIRE TO SING SOME 10 CONCERTS PER YEAR. OFTEN, WE SING FOR CHARITABLE CAUSES. WIVES AND PARTNERS TAKE A FULL PART IN CHOIR EVENTS AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES. WE ARE FORGING NEW CONTRACTS WITH OUR NEW AUTHORITY, CHESHIRE EAST. LINKS WITH TWIN TOWNS IN GERMANY AND POLAND CONTINUE.
