The National Theatre is central to the creative life of the UK. In its three theatres on the South Bank in London it presents new plays and classics from the world repertoire. It extends its reach through live broadcasts into cinema, UK and International tours and deepens audience engagement through its education programme. It looks after the wider health of theatre through R&D at the NT Studio.

The BFI is the lead organisation for film in the UK. Our mission is to ensure that film is central to our cultural life, in particular by supporting and nurturing the next generation of filmmakers and audiences.

Training and education for film, television, games and the creative industries

Founded by Royal Charter in 1907, NLW is one of the legal deposit libraries of the UK and has benefited from this status since 1911. Through this privilege, by purchase, donation or legacy it has built up a significant collection specialising in Wales, the Welsh and the other Celtic peoples that includes a wide range of media: books, records, maps, pictures, films & for the benefit of the public.

We are the industry-led skills body for the UK?s screen-based creative industries, including film, high end and other television, VFX, animation and games.We work across the UK with employers, individuals, learning/training providers, trade associations, unions and government to ensure the screen industries have the skilled workforce they need. We identify training needs and help tackle them.

Maintain and develop the Leeds Grand Theatre, City Varieties Music Hall and Hyde Park Picture House. Offer drama, opera, ballet, musicals, comedy, variety, pantomime and arthouse / mainstream films. Increase engagement with performing arts and with heritage of these listed buildings through innovative learning and interpretation programmes.

The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society's mission is to promote the love of music. Activities include: Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir; Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and Youth, Community and Gospel Choirs; CD label RLPOlive; an education and participation programme; and contemporary, jazz and world music alongside rock, pop, comedy and classic films in Philharmonic Hall.

The objects of the Charity are to promote, maintain, improve and advance education, particularly by the encouragement of the arts. This includes the arts of cinema, photography, painting and sculpture and including all other arts of a visual nature provided that all the objects of the Company shall be of a charitable nature.

Watershed exists to provide opportunities for all to experience enjoy and learn about contemporary moving image media. Watershed is a media centre for the digital age offering a culturally diverse programme of work encompassing artists' commissions, residencies, on-line exhibition, touring programmes, festivals, events and a diverse programme of world cinema.

Children's and young people's film education (5 to 19 years).

Midlands Arts Centre, MAC, exists to make innovative, creative arts activities an important part of people's lives. MAC is the most visited arts centre in the Midlands, with almost 1,000,000 visitors a year who come to MAC to enjoy theatre performances, music, comedy, plays for children, literature and poetry events, courses, family shows, films, dance performances and free exhibitions.

The Trust's objectives are to promote the education of the general public, with regard to, amongst other things, raising awareness of and developing appreciation of the arts. The policies adopted in furtherance of these objectives are the funding of various art projects, including feature length films, exhibitions and installations.

JRoots: Jewish journeys connecting generations.JRoots was set up to provide tailor-made, exciting and high impact Jewish journeys to destinations of historic and educational importance, particularly to sites in Poland, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Spain, Morocco and Israel.70 Faces, a division of Jroots, specialises in producing biographical documentary films and books.

Since its launch in 1990 Broadway has become a nationally recognised cultural leader, bringing the world of independent British and international film to Nottingham and across the Midlands, supporting innovation in art and technology and providing a platform for talent, learning and conversation to inspire creativity and a lifelong love of film.

Chapter operates an arts centre in Cardiff which has two cinemas, two theatre spaces and a gallery. It specialises in contemporary culture including cinema, visual arts, digital arts and performing arts. It also offers a programme of classes and activities for the public, workspaces for small cultural businesses and meeting rooms for the community.

Advancement of education, understanding and appreciation of the arts, including audio visual arts, primarily but not exclusively for the benefit of the public in the North East of England, through creation and presentation of moving image works, literature, music and live public events, educational and training projects and by any other charitable means.

By operating a community cinema the company will advance education in the knowledge, understanding andappreciation of the arts, particularly the art of film and allied visual techniques, in particular from the benefit ofthe inhabitants of the town of Lewes and the surrounding area.

Modern Art Oxford was established as the Museum of Modern Art to present exhibitions of modern and contemporary visual art including paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, design, photographs, video, film and works of art of any other media and to advance the education of the general public in the visual arts.
