The Unity Centre is a cafe/charity shop offering advice/befriending/hate crime support. Grants are awarded to those demonstrating financial hardship, for items such as books, stationery, uniforms, travel to and from school/college, school trips and music tuition and instruments.

The Trust provides a wide and diverse range of activities for older people in Sawbridgeworth. This is facilitated through members of the society and anyone from the general public using the research centre and library, and through postal enquiries.The society holds family history events in the community within the two counties. The Charity's objects are to promote Registered Exmoor Ponies and to encourage and maintain the standards of ponies used for breeding and to form and publish a stud book for the registration of Exmoor ponies. The Charity seeks to educate the public on the attributes of this rare native breed and act in an advisory capacity in reported cases of ill treatment of Registered Exmoor Ponies.
