Clients have access a library and can use the Internet. The London Topographical Society concentrates exclusively on making available, to itsmembers and the general public, material illustrating the history, growth and topography ofLondon. Since its foundation in 1880, the Society has reproduced an unrivalled selection of historicmaps, plans and views of London. It also publishes books and monographs containing originalresearch.

The provision and maintenance of an institute for the inhabitants of Dolgellau and the neighbourhood thereof, without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes and other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the condition of life for the said inhabitants.

We currently provide a centre for village activities such as Pilates, Dance Tuition, Yoga, Fitness etc. We also provide a meeting place for use by local organisations, the Village Primary School, by local people for weddings and other family gatherings and for the TMH community cinema. The hall amenity area is also used by various local organisations for village activities throughout each year.

The charity runs a Christian bookshop with books, bibles, bible notes, Christian artifacts etc. on sale.

To advance the education of pupils in the school by organising fund raising events. Money raised is donated to the school to pay for activities, equipment or facilities that would not normally be paid for by the local authority. Equipment such as interactive whiteboards, well-stocked library and new learning areas have helped the school achieve Outstanding status by Ofsted in December 2008.

The society provides lectures, excursions, visits, walks and study days, which are open to the public. There is also a library which is open to members and others by appointment, and a journal, which is distributed to members and libraries. The society also offers research grants and book grants to students of archaeology or history, and grant assistance for archaeological projects.
