Southfield WI is outward looking, it has monthly meetings with speakers, reading group, visits to theatre, and historical places. It supports G.F.W.I. events, including music, drama, crafts, and environmental issues. Southfield gives a bursary for educational courses, welcomes visitors, and gives social companionship for its members. Many members volunteer for local causes.

To asisst in our deprived area, to help women by encouraging them out one evening a week. We offer a varied range of activities. Speakers, demonstrations such as flower arranging, cookery tips, we occassionally have local outings, at a low cost. Arrange musical entertainment and even hold "keep fit" instruction.

The South East Music Trust encourages the development of music by arranging for professional orchestras to be available to promoters of entertainment and to musical and choral societies. It also provides grants where possible to encourage a high level of participation and performance.

Preference is given to the advancement of medicine (applications relating to opthalmology particularly welcome) and to supporting music and the arts. Applications considered in March and September.

Organises each year eight organ concerts given by both established national and international organists and those at the start of their musical career i.e Oundle for Organists, Northern Ireland International Organ Competition (NIIOC). Throughout the Coventry Diocese the Guild encourages the recruitment and training of members in the art of change ringing; promotes the proper use of belfries and bells and fosters ringing for services. This is achieved by holding regular meetings of ringers in each of the Guild's districts and as a whole Guild, supporting each others' towers and updating members via newletters and a website.
