Opera Rara widens the operatic repertoire and develops artistic talent by restoring,recording, performing and promiting rare and forgotten works from the 19th and 20th centuries. We spend our charitable income on the execution of recording projects and on the production of concerts while nurturing the current and next generation of remarkable singers, as we have done since 1970.

To advance the education of the public in all aspects of arts including but without limiting the foregoing, the arts of photography, film, television, animation, drama, music, opera & dance. To promote the arts by the establishment and maintenance of an art gallery, screening and showcasing of film and film related activities and the provision of technical production facilities.

With no opera house, all our work lives in the peoples and places of the city- a unique fusion of local volunteers and international artists delivering artistic, personal and social change.

Providing an opportunity for young people to experience the demands and joys of participating in the choral or technical theatre aspects of opera production, through a residential summer school, alongside highly experienced professional soloist/tutors, production staff and orchestra, culminating typically in six public opera performances and a gala concert.

To promote, maintain, improve and advance the education of the public by the encouragement of the arts, particularly the arts of theatre, opera and dance, by the production of theatre, opera and dance both in the UK and internationally, particularly with the intention of attracting new audiences to those art forms and of providing training opportunities for emerging artists.

Promoting the performance of opera for UK and International festivals with the running of related workshops and coaching in schools, community groups and individuals.

OUR ACTIVITIES TO MEET THESE GOALS CAN INCLUDE A SUMMER PORGRAMME OF OPERA PERFORMANCES IN VENUES THROUGHOUT THE UK, AN ANNUAL MUSIC FESTIVAL BASED IN NORTH ESSEX FEATURING TOP-CLASS MUSICIANS AND YOUNG PEOPLE AND COMMUNITY GROUPS IN ENJOYMENT OF AND INVOLVEMENT IN MUSICAL PERFORMANCE.

Provides high quality training and experience of performing publicly for persons embarking on professional musical careers in the United Kingdom, and to establish such courses of training and tuition and such public concert stage and other performances as the trustees shall see fit. The charity achieves its objectives through the staging of opera performances, and awarding an annual opera prize

To promote and advance the arts, by establishing and maintaining an Opera Festival for the public's appreciation of, and engagement with, opera, music and related arts. Also, to promote and advance education, by training young artists in the presentation of opera, music and related arts under a Young Artist Programme.

The advancement of the education of the public in the art of music with particular reference to opera

The charity's main objective is to advance the education of the public by encouraging the understanding and appreciation of music and opera, in particular but not exclusively through the presentation of public performances of opera.

The London Handel Society organises the annual London Handel Festival. The charity's remit is to present high quality performances of Handel and his contemporaries, and to support and encourage young artists through the Handel Singing Competition. The Festival includes opera, concerts, talks and education projects, and ticket prices are kept affordable to encourage all who love Handel to attend.

We use music to help people who have experienced homelessness make positive changes in their lives, to advance the education of the public in the arts in particular but not exclusively in the art of opera. We deliver the following activity in 5 regions of the UK: 1 Opera Productions2 Workshop Programme3 Work Placement Scheme and Progression routes4. Establishing an international network

RAODS produces 12 to 14 shows each year, the programme being a mix of drama, comedy, musicals and pantomime. They also include youth shows. In addition we make the Plaza Theatre (which we wholly own) available to other amateur groups and professional acts.
