A community centre set up as a charity offers a diverse range of social, educational and recreational activities, tailored to bring people together, reduce isolation and improve quality of life. Established in 1884 Oxford House is an arts and community centre in Bethnal Green. Oxford House provides (1) a community space including cafe, affordable office and hire space; (2) a creative place with classes and activities for all ages in the theatre, dance studio, gallery, chapel, and roof terrace and (3) a place to volunteer.

We deliver services in areas of deprivation in Gloucestershire. Current activities : Money Advice Services, General welfare benefits advice, Community education, Learning disability well-being centre, and programmes that increase employability by learning practical skills i.e. landscaping, carpentry, painting etc. We accept volunteers in service areas above to enhance skills.

The Friendship Circle provides recreational programmes and activities for people who are isolated from the community due to their infirmity and disablement. Examples include events and outings, arts, crafts, cookery, trips etn. We have a buddy programme and our users to community volunteers who will visit them at their homes or take them out with a view to building friendships.

ActionSpace supports artists with learning disabilities across London. We aim to make a professional career in the arts a realistic option to artists with learning disabilities who have the talent and ambition to pursue this. Our Beyond The Studio programme, and creates innovative projects for Londoners with learning disabilities to engage with the visual arts.

We support adults with disabilities in Folkestone and surrounding districts in a day care setting offering a range of activities to enhance wellbeing, independence and social skills. The charity gives training in the manufacture and sale of wooden, paper and fabric crafts involving all aspects of a commercial operation - purchasing, manufacturing, selling, packaging and despatch, health and safety, monies etc and dealing with the public at large.

Activities provided for service users in recovery from drug and alcohol misuse or mental health issues include A Drop in Centre, A Listening Service, an Outreach Service, a Night Service, Supported Housing, Training and Education and various activities including Arts and Crafts, Singing, Smart Recovery, Tai Chi, Serenity, Family and Friends Support, Gardening, Creative Writing, Freedom Programme.
