RELIGIOUS AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

PPCA manages the Pells open-air swimming pool in Lewes on behalf of the community; the oldest, public, open-air, freshwater swimming pool in continuous use in the UK . Built in 1860, the pool opens from late April to late November and measures 25 x 50 yards. It is much appreciated and well supported by the community. The charity raises funds to renovate and improve pool equipment and facilities.

The DRCA is a unique Community Association of 2 halls used by the local estate for recreation & community activities. The upper level is a hub for other charitable organisations to use in association & support of the DRCA's objectives. Financial support for these is provided by a thriving community of forty small businesses providing services, commerce and employment to the local area and beyond.

The Trust was formed to develop and manage the Community Centre with the aim of turning it into a successful, self-sustaining centre, providing the community with somewhere they can come to learn, relax and engage in activities.The Trust has completed a community asset transfer and agreed a 40 year peppercorn lease

Sports and social activities, on a member basis, to the area of benefit (Basildon Borough Council boundaries) and on an associate member basis to surrounding areas.

To provide and promote organised sporting , well being and community activities for the residents of Gateshead and surrounding areas without distinction of sex,sexual orientation, race or of political or religious or other opinions by associating together with the residents and local authorities. All activities are volunteer ran, all inclusive and ran on behalf of and purely for the members.

Bensham Grove Community Centre is a Grade II listed building and gardens, conserved by the trustees, of historical significance holding original Georgian and Arts and Crafts features. The Centre is a venue for community activities and groups to meet, it is a venue for Adult learning courses and workshops and it hosts events throughout the year to include the diverse community it serves.

Cafe, Adult Education, Over 60 activity groups, Luncheon Club-Tuesdays and Thursdays, Room Hire, Health and Fitness. Quinborne Hub, Seminars and Training Rooms.

The organisation is for the benefit of children & young people. Our current activities include football sessions, study support projects, fitness sessions, advice on education & employment, Healthy and well-being, residential weekends & day trips.

The provision of public worship in 22 locations on a regular basis.Baptisms,Thanksgiving services, weddings, blessings and funerals have been held within our church buildings plus some funerals elsewhere.All 20 church and associated buildings were used by community groups for a wide range of activities throughout the year.Social and community activities have been undertaken

Ocean Youth Connexions has been providing various youth and community activities since 2002, within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. These have range from youth club sessions, parents and children's evenings, football training, Taekwando, homework clubs, cycle proficiency training and employment support workshops. We are a local charity which run a number of non-profit services such as elderly daycentre, dementia services and leisure learning. we also offer room hire and many other services to improve the social and physical wellbeing of Alton and the surrounding area and to enhance education

We are a community association managed by a board of trustees supplying a venue and supported activities for a number of local groups, including young children to the elderly, attending various activities to improve their quality of life.

Whittington Park Community Association runs a busy, vibrant community centre in North Islington. Activities include a a 55 plus social club, a nursery and early years hub in the middle of the park, a Friday evening youth club plus a whole range of activities for all ages.

To raise funds for Bristol Museums' and Bristol Archives' collections, historic buildings, learning and community activities, exhibitions, events and allied activities in order to conserve the collections and make them widely accessible.

Milton Village Community Association provides social and recreational facilities for local residents and friends at its premises known as Milton Village Hall. For example, activities such as keep fit classes, toddler groups, oap senior clubs etc. We also offer the hall as a private hire venue for people to hold children's parties. We also arrange social functions including outings and holidays.

To enhance the development and education of children primarily under statutory school age by encouraging parents to understand and provide for the needs of their children through a community group.

St Luke's Mission Initiative is a Christian community on the Isle of Dogs, with a particular focus on being a centre for family life for the whole community. Our main activities include Christian worship, discipleship, evangelism and community activities.

The Riverside Community Association Limited provides a range of leisure, educational and community activities.
