The Cheveley Community Association administers the Community Room attached to Cheveley School for the benefit of local affiliated groups

LETTING BUILDING FOR RELIGIOUS AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

To support, protect and promote traditional and new village activities, facilities and amenities for the benefit of all Vines Cross Community.To ensure that, by way of regular village activities, the Vines Cross Community is cohesive and productive.

Village community association

Bingo held in Thomas Gaughan Community Centre, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings.

Green space

The West Community Centre runs a variety of activities which include Marshal Arts, Table Tennis , Chat and Craft as well as other activities that include the use of the facility with our community.

Parents & toddler club, fitness classes, classical Indian music. Welbeing groups. Neighbourhood watch meetings, childrens dance class

The provision of radio communications in cases of civil emergency and to assist statutory and voluntary emergency bodies i.e., St. John Ambulance, Red Cross, etc. As part of our training, we provide communications to organisers of sporting and community activities, such as cross-country equestrian events, marathons, carnival parades, etc.

The charity supports educational and humanitarian projects overseas and supports educational and community activities within the Sedgefield community. The charity generally supports groups but can also support individuals.

PCA run activties for the senior citizens in the Porstea Area. currently these are the Bowls club, line dancing sessions and Bingo nights. in addition through out the year PCA run outings that are advertsied for users of the community centre and residents of Portsea to go on.

COMMUNITY HALL

In 2007 LCA ran some activities such as discos, hobby club & games clubs for children aged 5-11 years from the local community. Unfortunately the LCA has now stopped running these activities and the organisation needs closing down.

The charity owns a 37 acre park in Worcestershire dedicated to use by the residents of Wythall parish and neighbourhood. This Wythall park is managed and maintained by its agents, being volunteers of Wythall Community Association (charity no. 243332)

RUNNING AND MAINTAINING THE VILLAGE HALL AND ORGANISING COMMUNITY EVENTS

To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of South Headingley.

The Charity Activities are held at Georgetown Community Centre only.

The Village Hall is now no longer used for village activities. The village at a public meeting showed no support for further use of the Hall. It is now being considered for sale and any profits will be used for the benefit of the village, probably through the building of a new facility with Chirton School . The structure of the present building makes it unviable for its former use.

Provide social and education activities for our Members. Also, local groups and charities are supported. Help and support is also given to local village activities.
