Girl Guiding Activities

The hall committee organises the everyday running of the hall, fundraising events for its upkeep, and annual community events .The hall, serves the community as the only meeting place in the village, and is used by groups of all ages. Hall user groups: table tennis,indoor bowls,boccia,photography,yoga/pilates,tai chi,art,WI,brownies/rainbows,soup lunch,fundraising events, private hire, polling.

The Guide Hall, which is situated in the Cumbrian town of Millom, provides a space for young members of Girlguiding to meet regularly. Here they can make friends, engage in fun and exciting activities, and learn that whoever they are, wherever they are from, girls can do anything. The hall is also available for hire and is regularly used by other groups from within the local community.

Within the framework set out by Girlguiding, sharing a commitment to a common standard, we provide a balanced and varied programme to all our members in the Rainbow, Brownie and Guide units in the District of Long Ashton.

GIRL LED PROJECTS, PROMOTING SELF ESTEEM, AWARENESS AND COMMUNITYDuring 2014 the District obtained funding from The Big Lottery Fund and Girlguiding West Sussex in order to carry out essential refurbishment to the outer cladding of the Guide HQ. The work was carried out and completed during January/February 2015.

Girlguiding Mudeford, Girls & young women between the ages of 5 - 50 consisting of Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers and leaders.

St Breward Guides and Brownies are the units in the village of St Breward and offer activities for all girls from the age of seven years upwards. Currently there are 18 Brownies 13 Guides 2 Young leaders (those 14 - 18 who are working towards a leadership quliafication) and 6 adults. Activites range from craft, public service and health to outdoor activities such as walking, swimming and camping.

Girlguiding UK is the United Kingdom's largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women.With Girlguiding UK girls can just be themselves - making friends, learning new skills and having fun.Guiding is for girls of all backgrounds, abilities and nationalities. Girls lead the way in guiding, so the activities are what they want to do.'Guiding is fantastic, hilarious, crazy and fab!'

Girlguiding Crofton District provides the personnel and facilities to promote the education of girls and young women to help them develop so that they can make a positive contribution to their community and the wider world.

Girl Guiding UK. We support and help members both Brownie Guides & Girl Guides to enjoy & participate inall activites the movement has to offer. This may also support the leaders running units to obtain training which will benefit the girls.

The unit follows Girlguiding UK's programme for Guides, girls aged 10-14, and takes part in local, county and national events and challenges as they arise. The unit camps usually once a year and girls are encouraged to take part in international camps. As we own our own hut, we are also involved in fundraising to maintain and improve it. We welcome girls from Thames Ditton and surrounding areas

We give girls and young women a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities.

Village Hall available for hire by regular groups for activities such as Keep Fit, Brownies, Rainbows, Toddler Groups and for occasional users for meetings, celebrations etc. A monthly cinema ( Balsham Picture House} is also activeThe church reserves the option for activities linked to the church which now includes Community Coffee mornings and Lunches

Providing opportunities and training for girls and women within the framework of the Girlguiding programme

Whittlesey District Guiding looks after the district for 1 Rainbow Units, 3 Brownie Packs, 1 Guide Company and a Ranger Unit. We share the facilities at the Joint Scout and Guide HQ : upkeep of the premises and share the running costs. This ensures the strength of Guiding in Whittlesey District.

We are all members and part of Girl Guiding UK. We give opportunities for girls to enjoy a girl lead environment for arts/crafts/homecraft skills/recreation etc. Our building and grounds provide holidays as well as weekly meetings for those in the movement age five upwards.
