The Friends of Bracken Leas is an organisation which links home and school together, and works for the benefit of all children, families, staff and governors of Bracken Leas School.We provide support in a variety of ways including raising funds to enrich the learning environment by holding events such as discos, quiz nights and fun days.

PARENTS SCHOOL FUNDING RAISING COMMITTEE

Support functioning and growth of museum. Provide historical society to district via lectures, guided tours and other functions.

Fundraising for items to enhance the school environment and the children's experience in school

Advance education by encouraging fullest co-operation between home, school, Education Authority and all other interested parties in parish of Alveston. Provide additional funding to support the school's curricular and extra-curricular activities.

To advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by:- Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school to enhance the school community- Engaging in activities to raise funds to provide facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of pupils

FOCS ARE CURRENTLY RAISING FUNDS TO HELP SUPPORT THE SCHOOL FINANCIAL (BOOKS, STATIONARY) SCHOOL. EVENTS TO BE HELD THIS YEAR INCLUDE DISCO'S; CINEMA NIGHT; COFFEE MORNINGS; CHRISTMAS AND SUMMER FAYRE

Fundraising efforts from UK friends of the BABS Home in Buenos Aires. In addition donations have been received from friends who have directed that donations should be paid to other charitable organisations in Argentina.

As a PTA we try to raise funds for the children at school for extra equipment that the school can not afford to buy. For example we have bought interactive whiteboards for all of the classrooms. Our main fund raising event is the Rose Queen in June, which we try to make fun for all of the family.

We are a school parent teacher association with 2 main focuses:1. Raising money to support the school funding projects including IT, library,etc. 2. Organising and delivering social events for the pupils and parents to encourage community development.

THE TRUSTS OBJECTIVE IS TO COLLECT AND INVEST MONIES WHICH CAN BE CALLED UPON BY ST MARGARETS PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL (PCC) IN DITCHLING TO HELP THEM WITH THE MAINTENANCE OF THE CHURCH AND ITS GROUNDS, SO THAT THE HERITAGE OF THIS ANCIENT BUILDING IS SAFEGUARDED FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.
