Sumbandila aims to find intelligent and determined children from extremely deprived rural backgrounds and take them on an eight-year educational journey, with the long-term goal of creating leaders and entrepreneurs who can effect much-needed change in our society and economy. Sumbandila places a high emphasis on much-needed skills like mathematics, science, and technology.

Raising funds to be used for the benefit of patients in our hospitals. This is done through retail outlets, a shop and a teabar at St Helier hospital. There is also a yearly raffle draw.

Relief of poverty in Hadhramaut (formerly part of the Eastern Aden Protectorate) in the Republic of Yemen.Who can benefit: Centres for Blind , Handicapped and Autism, Orphans, Schools, Hospitals and Clinics, Womens' Sewing Centres and Welfare Groups, Self Help \ Development Initiatives for Individuals and Families in Exceptional Hardship.

To promote social inclusion for the public benefit in the areas of Sturminster Newton, Gillingham, Shaftesbury, Sherborne and Blandford, and surrounding villages by preventing people from becoming socially isolated.Our projects include Stour-Shed, a member of Mens Shed UK, hot lunch delivery service, adapted sporting facilities. Lunch Clubs. Transport to medical appointments etc.

Through volunteer action, The Friends works to: enhance habitat and create new habitat for wildlife at Paxton Pits; achieve expansion of the nature reserve; enhance visitor facilities and the visitor experience; promote and provide information about the Reserve and its wildlife through public events, publications and the Reserve website, and support informal and formal educational activities.

To further such charitable purposes as charitable in English Law as the trustees see fit. In particular, but not exclusively, in the support of Agudat Beit Avraham an Israeli charity established in Israel with a particular focus on the relief of poverty and the advancement of education.

Fundraising for schools needs

FOPV is the charitable community group which looks after the parks in Sheffield lying along the Porter Brook. We aim to conserve and restore the beautiful features and industrial heritage of this 4 km long linear valley which links the Peak District countryside to the urban areas of S.W. Sheffield.

FOLC raises funds for the restoration of St Julitta's Church, and organises events to increase the use of the building, particularly by members of the local community.

Friends of Donhead raise money by organising a range of events within the school calendar. Monies raised are used to enhance school facilites which otherwise would not be met by normal school financing.

We work to preserve the 1825 Stockton and Darlington Railway a site of international importance and start of the modern railway. Working with partners on promotion, access, interpretation, research and conservation of our heritage, we aim to raise profile and awareness locally, nationally and internationally and apply how this can be used for education, community and economic regeneration.
