The object for which the Society is established is the preservation of the beauty and amenities of the South Downs for the public benefit. The Society works through its many volunteers and skilled professional staff, guided by its trustees who are elected by the membership, to achieve its objectives.

Oystermouth Castle is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and Grade 1 Listed Building. Access and presentation is supervised by this charity which promotes the history and heritage of the site to visitors and provides a venue for many school, college and university students. The castle hosts Medieval Re-enactments and Living History Societies which recreate aspects of life during the Middle Ages.

The object of the charity is to advance public education in relation to the history of Amersham and the surrounding area, principally by the operation of a museum.The charity owns the Amersham Museum which is situated at 49 and 51 High Street, Amersham, Bucks. The charity supports a Polish supplementary School operating on Saturday mornings only, for children between the age of 4 to 18 learning Polish language and culture and taking students to GCSE, AS and A2 examination. We also support different youth groups, not only with cash gifts, but also by allowing use of our premises. Groups include Polish scouts and folk dancing

To support the work and development of the Botanic Garden and to stimulate interest through a variety of events and activities. Income generated by such events, and also from membership subscriptions, is used to invest in new projects in the garden, make a major contribution to its upkeep and support horticultural education through the funding of trainees in the garden.

The Friends provide services within the hospital to enhance the patients' stay. It also buys equipment for Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. It does this through various fundraising activities throughout the year.

Council aims to achieve the Friends' objects of fellowship and fundraising to support St Paul's often in both time and money, by promoting membership of the Friends, producing the twice-yearly Dome magazine, organising self-financing social activities for members, and making financial grants to the Corporation of the Cathedral Church of St Paul in London out of net funds raised including legacies.

We operate a powerful catamaran boat - safe and comfortable - in and around Poole Harbour, and up the River Frome to Wareham. We exist to provide boat trips - totally free - to disabled persons of all ages and disabilities, a maximum of 12 on each trip (including carers) due to regulations. From 1st May to 30th September, trips of 2-4 hours and 1 to 2 trips every day.

The League of Friends helps to support the Newport Cottage Care Centre, Upper Bar, Newport. Shropshire - also finance the xray unit at the care centre with the proceeds of a charity shop in Baddeley Court, Newport.
