Scouting for boys/girls.

Scouting activities in accordance with the organisations Policy, Organisation and Rules.We operate in the Belper area, north Derbyshire.

the aim of the scout association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical,intellectual,social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and members of their local national and international communities.

The Hall Committee put on regular events (quizzes, ceilidh, carnival, food evenings etc) and it has regular weekly user-groups (scouts, art group, garden club, dog training, craft and chat, WI, book Club, Wine Circle etc). Everything is aimed at encouraging and protecting a sense of community.

An inclusive progressive programme for ages 6-14 years using both indoor and outdoor scouting activities, delivered to the young people based on different topics and themes, and suitable for the age range of the group it is aimed at. Indoor and outdoor camping, outdoor group events such as kayaking and participation in larger District, Regional and National scouting events

The Group provides training within 3 different age ranges for young people both male & female aged 6 to 15. These activities develop the individual and group to fulfil an active place in society. The Group is run by volunteer Leaders and Executive committee, all of which are part of the Scout Association. The Group is funded by membership fees & fund-raising events and grant applications.

WEEKLY MEETINGS FOR BEAVER SCOUTS, CUB SCOUTS AND SCOUTS WHERE THEY PARTICIPATE IN ALL MANNER OF ACTIVITIES FROM GAMES TO LEARNING KNOTS AND BADGEWORK. CAMPS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES WITHIN DISTRICT/COUNTY EG. CHESTER DISTRICT GANGSHOW AND CHESTER DISTRICT ST GEORGE'S DAY PARADE

Tivetshall Village Hall is hired out for meetings, functions, private parties, scout groups, sports and fitness clubs, and other similar activities. The trustees operate a pop-up community cafe twice a month.The Village Hall Management Committee and its trustees are responsible for the day-to-day running, maintenance and upkeep of the Hall.
