The objective of 1st Walton 'Viking' Sea Scout Group is to provide good quality water activities to the young people of Walton-On-Thames area under the policy, organisation & rules of the Scout Association.

Scouting

As per Scout POR, to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national, and international communities.

The Shropshire Severn ant Teme Scout District is one of three Scout Districts within the County of Shropshire. It provides administrative and financial support for some 13 Scout Groups, from Albrighton in the north to Ludlow in the south of Shropshire.

To promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local and international communities. The method of achieving this is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law and by adult leadership

To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Alwoodley by providing facilities for social welfare and recreation currently including Art, Badminton, Carpet Bowls, Chess, Football, Junior Chess, Lace & Craft, Sinfonia, Singers, Social Club, Table Tennis, Tennis.Affiliated Groups - Scouts & Guides, Townswomen's Guild

All scouting activities for the age range of males and females between the ages of 6 and 26

Management of Slough District Scouts and holding land and other assets belonging to the Scout movement in Slough

Education/learning in scouting / life skills for young people (6 to 18 years of age) in line with the nationalaims and programme of the Scout Association.

The Charity exists to provide a Scout Group for local children aged from 6 to 18.

Activities include an active and wide ranging programme of events in the pursuit of scouting principles; a badge shop selling badges and associated items to scout groups; the maintenance and upkeep of Scammonden Activity Centre, which provides the opportunity for youth groups and commercial organisations to stay at the Centre; and a shop at the Activity Centre selling stationery and refreshments.

THE INSTRUCTION OF BOYS AND GIRLS OF ALL CLASSES IN THE PRINCIPLES OF DISCIPLINE, LOYALTY AND GOOD CITIZENSHIP.

Scouting is concerned with all young people, contributing to their development in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential both as individuals, as responsible citizens and members of their local community. Activities are based on guidelines issued by the Scout Association.

Put on a wide, varied, active and inclusive programme incorporating elements of both modern and traditional Scouting.

CAMPING, HIKING, ABSEIILING, ETC., WEEKLY SECTION MEETINGS WHERE FIVE ELEMENTS ARE INCORPORATED INTO THE PROGRAMME AS RECOMMENDED BY THE SCOUT ASSOC.

Young people, in partnership with adults, work together, enjoying what they are doing and having fun, taking part in indoor and outdoor activities, learning by doing, sharing in spiritual reflection, taking responsibility and making choices, undertaking new and challenging activities and making and living their Scout Promise.

We engage in the Cumnor & Botley communities of Oxfordshire to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.

Training and development of boys and girls from 6 to 18years of age in accordance with the Policy,Organisation and Rules of the Scout Association.
