Associations Charities That specialise in Service clubs

Our area covers Littlehampton, Rustington, East Preston, Arundel, Angmering, Yapton and Barnham. Our main aim is to support the local community, but we also support some national and international causes most of which are supported through our own Lions Clubs International Foundation. We also help fundraise for some national charities, local groups and organisations and help with local events.

Reading Lions is a local group of volunteers who aim to promote the health and wellbeing of the Reading community by improving the local environment, helping individuals in times of need, supporting Reading based community groups and local charities. Every penny raised goes into our community projects. Our aim is to serve the people of Reading and make a difference.

FUNDS RAISED FROM STREET COLLECTIONS AND OTHER FUND RAISING FUNCTIONS

We serve our local community and the wider regional, national and international community by running fund raising events throughout the year in order to raise money to help clubs, charities, organisations and individuals who need or seek our help.Our members also provide 'hands-on' assistance as and when we are able to do so.

Raising of funds in and around Cheltenham, Gloucestershire through events and street collections and then distributing the proceeds to local, national and international charities and good causes.

Relief of the poor and needy.

General charitable activities

Relief of Poverty, achievement of education, advancement of religion and other charitable purposes within the meaning of the law of England.

Providing both financial and practical support to persons in the local area who are vulnerable and/or in need. Financial grants are also made through LCIF outside of the local area in the event of major natural disasters .

The charity raises funds to enable it to make grants to organisations and individuals in need within its local area. We operate a tail lift enables minibus using volunteer drivers from within the club to provide transport to mainly elderly local residents. We support international appeals raised by our parent body, Lions Clubs International.

Assisted by family and friends, and others who give their time voluntarily, Club members raise funds through our second-hand bookshop in Warminster, driving our Christmas Santa workshop around town and local villages, and other events such as supporting local fetes in schools and villages. At fetes we organise stalls such as a lions soft toy tombola, toad-in-the-hole game, and a pot-a-ball game.

Relief of need in United Kingdom and overseas

The Charity raises funds from general public and donors by holding events and carrying out projects. They make donations to support disaster relief and projects around Watford area from the funds raised and they also take part in community services.

We are a local Rotary Club who raise funds to provide charitable grants to Charities and Needy causes with links to Rotary Charities or the Winchcombe locality

To apply both the capital and income thereof to or for the relief of the poor and needy or such other charitable purposes as the Club shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct.

The charity continues to operate under the supplementary Trust Deed (23.10.2013) . We continue to support the main aims of the Trust which are to assist the poor & needy and other good causes agreed by the Rotary Club. During the second half of 2022 and into 2023 Shepperton Aurora will continue to support to local charities, organisations and schools within the local community.

The Lions Club of Looe organises numerous public fundraising activities (such as car boot sales and lotteries), public participation activities (such as Carnival Week, Easter egg hunt and the arrival of Father Christmas) at which funds are also raised and also activities that are purely organised for the benefit and enjoyment of others (such as seniors Chritmas parties).

The trust continues to support a wide range of charitable causes. Our priorities include responding promptly to some disasters providing money, water purification and shelter/survival kits as appropriate, balanced with consideration of literacy, health, poverty and other humanitarian projects - particularly those promoting self-help - locally, nationally and internationally.

To raise money for local, National and International Good Causes and Charities, and to provide physical and financial assistance to those in need.
