Youth Group run by volunteers and funded by membership fees and fundraising activities adhering to P.O.R. regulations issued by Scouting HQ for children aged between 6yrs and young adults through, beavers, cubs, scouts, young leaders, explorer and network scout sections. Activities include physical challenges, badge work schemes and charitable activities to help or enhance the lives of others.

The 1st Old Town Scout Group provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for young people aged 6-25. Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential.

Training young people in various skills, mostly linked to the sea-faring traditions of the Navy.

Scouting activities for Boys and Girls, meeting groups of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers

The hall committee organises the everyday running of the hall, fundraising events for its upkeep, and annual community events .The hall, serves the community as the only meeting place in the village, and is used by groups of all ages. Hall user groups: table tennis,indoor bowls,boccia,photography,yoga/pilates,tai chi,art,WI,brownies/rainbows,soup lunch,fundraising events, private hire, polling.

To provide a balanced programme of activities for young people through various activities based around 5 areas of lifestyle

A Scout Group is based in a local community and usually consists of Squirrel Scouts, Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts and Scouts. Sticker Scout Group has Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. We provide Skills4Life to over 100 young people every week.

Hold weekly meetings, during term times of Beavers, Cubs & Scouts for approximately 80 children ( boys and girls)

We are a Scout Group providing fun/sporting activities for children from 6 to 14. Three main groups meet weekly over 3 terms. Beaver group, Cub Scouts, Scouts and Explorer Scouts. We operate according the Scout Association's rules.

General activities associated with scouting for children aged from 5 to 16. Weekly activity meetings for 3 different age group sections, Beavers, Cub Scouts and Sea Scouts. Camps, Kyaking and water activities; fund raising events are held and contact maintained with local District, Maldon and East Essex
