We run six units, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, from our Scout Hut in Mitcham. The children attend weekly meetings where they work towards badges which help to make them aware of their environment and to care for others. Camping and fund-raising are among the many activities in which the children are involved.

Provide a safe warm environment where Parents/Carers can chat time the children play. All the toys can be hired for a small fee of 20p to 50p per week. We ask a joining fee of --ú1 per Family per Year and a --ú1 per Family per Session.

Donations and purchase of equiptment for individual children who are mentally and physically handicapped and associated organisations/charities. In 2012 the charity paid for three older children from Bower Grove School to attend at residential holiday and landscaped a garden at Greenfields Childrens Centre with raised beds allowing the young children to plant and watch things grow.

Provision of support for children leaving school to assist in their University education and entry into a profession, trade or calling. Provision of support to Aided schools within the parish of Tideswell for items not normally provided by the LEA and assist those schools in refurbisment of fabric.

To or for the relief of such poor and distressed Knights Templar of The United Religious and Military Orders of The Temple or their poor and distressed widows and children or to or for the benefit of such Charities or other Charitable Institutions and Societies as the Provincial Priory shall direct.

In the early 1900's local businessman and property owner George Day left a bequest in his will to provide "treats for the children of Buham"Nearly one hundred years later the fund he created still exists, and provides between -ú300 & -ú400 per year to provide annual treats for the children attending Burham C of E Primary School.

A fund for the benefit of girls resident in Brightling for educational purposes who have attended primary school for at least two years and have not reached their thirteenth birthday. In accordance with the terms of the charity, a child in secondary education who is 13 or over may be eligible for an award.

Registered African charities seeking to improve the quality of life of their communities by improving water supplies, farming/animal husbandry etc as well as education of orphans and widows' children, the provison of livelihood skills such as IT training/leadership programmes, furniture making, photography, baking, catering, sewing, hair dressing etc. can be invited to apply for grants.

Established to restore the XV century screen in Welby Church in memory of Wm & Emma Avery. Income from capital remaining to be used for:- (1) Maintaining the Rood screen. (2) Welfare of those living in the parish in particular the elderly and children, (3) General Church Purposes

We supply funding for a competition organised by the York House Society to encourage local children to take an interest in their local (Twickenham, Greater London, UK) heritage and history.NB the York House Society is a Twickenham based local Amenity Society, founded in 1924.

The Charity has a Permanent Endowment, the interest from which is divided equally between the Wrenthorpe Methodist Church Sunday School and the JMA Secretary of Wrenthorpe Methodist Church for the support of any particular Overseas Mission, Missionary or District or the General Overseas Fund of the Methodist Missionary Society.

The awarding of one annual book prize to a child attending the West Wittering Parochial Church School. Such prize to be known as the Blackhall Prize.After provision of the Blackhall Prize any balance shall be paid to any charitable Christian Education Project being undertaken the said parish.
