The Friends of John Ball School brings children, teachers, parents and carers within the school community together to raise funds for educational and enrichment activities. Events are held during the school year to build the community within the school and to raise funds to the benefit of all the children within the school.

The aims of the Pre-School are to enhance the development and education of children under school age by encouraging parents to understand and provide for the needs of their children by: *offering appropriate play, education and care facilities, extended hours groups *instigating and adhering to and furthering the aims and objects of the Pre-school Learning Alliance

The Downley After School Club is an OFSTED Registered Child care provider which has been in operation since April 2003. It is an independent non-profit making organisation run by a voluntary management committe. The club provides much needed after school care for children at the Downley School with working parents.

SLOW offers emotional and practical support to bereaved families that have lost a child in any circumstances. The charity currently provides support groups for bereaved parents when a child has died in the family; sibling support workshops for bereaved children that have lost a brother or sister and help and advice for professionals working with bereaved families.

The object of the Charity is to advance the education of the pupils at Walton Leigh School, a school for children with severe learning difficulties, by providing facilities and equipment which are not provided by the local education authority or the school and seeks to achieve this objective through encouraging the joint participation of the school's staff, parents, pupils and the local community.

To enhance the development and education of children, regardless of race or sex, by providing appropriate, safe and satisfying play facilities. Encouraging parents or guardians to enhance their understanding of their children's needs by taking part in the play when appropriate and taking responsibility within The Association.

The charity is to enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age. It provides 8 sessions per week to children under 5 years of age. It holds a number of fundraising events throughout the year that are supported by the parents and the local community.

Spring Educational Society runs educational centers and weekend supplementary schools to support pupils with their mainstream education.
