To advance the Christian Religion in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and to relieve poverty among the clergy and former clergy and their widows and dependents.In partnership with the Anglican Church in the DRC, to relieve poverty, to provide for the needs of refugees and the displaced and to promote schemes for peace and reconciliation, health, education and community development.

Provide housing for disabled members of the forces who are entitled to a pension or gratuity in consequence of injury or disability attributed to service and whose homes were at the date of enlistment or mobilisation, situated in the City of Leicester. The object of the Society is to grant relief, by way of Allowance or otherwise and either directly or indirectly, to deserving and necessitous members of the Timber Trade in the United Kingdom, in such of its branches as the Trustees consider properly belong to the Timber Trade, and to widows and children of such members.

As per existing Trust deed. Activity is now focussed on providing grants to run the Bethany Orphanage in Tanzania for the welfare of children who were once either orphaned, abandoned or abused and providing education where possible.

The main object of the Society is to provide financial assistance to widow(er)s, orphans and dependants of deceased clergy who have previously served in the ministry of the Church in Wales.
