An almshouse charity operating exclusively within the town of Macclesfield, Cheshire, providing accommodation for poor married couples, widows or spinsters

The Trust supports Christian ministry in the UK and Africa and mainly the work of New Growth Ministries (Zimbabwe). The work particularly supports orphans through the work led for many years by Mr Rob Mackenzie MBE. and Mrs. Hilary Mackenzie MBE.

The relief of those in need by reason of age or financial hardship in Ilfracombe, in particular but not limited to poor widows who are members of the Parish Church of the Holy Trinity & St Peter, Ilfracombe

An evangelical church known as Garston Community Church reaching out to the local community, catering for young and old with, Kidz Klub, Youth Club and Seniors Club. Also supporting other local initiatives, advancement of the Christian faith, spreading the Gospel, providing Christian education. Supporting other ministries abroad, orphans and the needy mainly in India.

1. Grants to descendents of Daniel Jaffe and/or their wives, widows and widowers (world wide) in need. 2. UK charities to distribute to individuals in poverty, in the UK.

To promote happiness by the provision of annuities for widows and spinsters in indigent circumstances resident in the city of Nottingham and surrounding area.

The Trust employs several people in Christian ministry in the Bridgnorth area.The Trust provides financial support to various other Christian ministries in Shropshire, in the UK and overseas.

To assist aged or indigent Freemasons.To assist widows and children of Freemasons.To distribute such other relief and charity as the Committee may direct.

We provide grant to schools to buy school equipment, books, chairs, tables, computers, science lab equipment etc, school meals for children. We provide medical help to poor, sick people and those who cannot afford treatment. We also help widows and their children. We concentrate more on education which has reflected at their results (100% pass rate).

The Norfolk Constabulary Benevolent Fund was established to assist in needy cases of members, former members, their widows, orphans or dependants. It does this by paying grants and interest free loans where necessary and by the provision of holiday homes for rest and recuperation and for respite or convalescence.

The almshouses are available to let to infirm persons in need, aged 60 and over and being either:1) persons having a connection by residence or otherwise with South Wales and a connection with the shipping industry whether by reason of having earned their livelihood at sea or at the docks of South Wales or otherwise; or2) be the widows/widowers of those qualified as aforesaid.

Are in the opinion of the Trustees necessitous and deserving.

Assist Tamil orphans in Sri Lanka by providing food, shelter, clothing and education through established orphanages in the North and East of Sri Lanka.

Provision of special benefits for the school conducted at the Charity's property; promotion of education of persons under 25 residing within the Borough of Calderdale or who have attended any school or former school of the Charity; relief of hardship or promotion of education of persons who have lost one or both parents (with preference to persons residing within the former County of York

Relief of poor and distressed brother masons or their poor and distressed widows and children or for the benefit of Masonic Charities or other charitable Institutions, Societies or objects.

To receive bequests and donations from Mark Lodges, Royal Ark Mariner Lodges and Brethren of the Province of Northumberland and from other Masonic organisations. To make grants to Mark Brethren, widows and children in need and donations to the Fund of Benevolence of Grand Mark Lodge & other Masonic and non Masonic charities.

The charity's principal activity is that of providing a fuel allowance for the pensioners, widows and poor of East Ruston. If a surplus is available special help can be given to children in the village

To pay to the Lighthouse Club Benevolent Fund for the purpose of relieving poverty suffered as a result of accident, disability or ill health by persons employed or formerly employed within the building and civil engineering industry and allied trades in the UK including widows and children of such persons, in accordance with the Trust Deed dated 10 November 1975.

For the relief of any person who at any time is or has been employed by the Bank and who is poor, the relief of any poor spouse, widow, widower, child, orphan, relative or dependant of any person who at any time has been employed by the Bank and such other charitable bodies as the Trustees shall from time to time decide
