To provide assistance to police officers who are either serving or retired members of the Thames Valley Police Benevolent Fund, their widows, widowers and dependants, who are regarded as being in necessitous circumstances. The charity therefore provides public benefit to those persons.

The SCT addresses social inequality and poverty. We create grants with agencies and projects that provide shelter and material assistance, improve social mobility, and fight prejudice. The SCT focus is on rights and welfare of: women, children / young adults, the mentally ill, ethnic communities and the homeless. Lansdowne is a Church based in West Norwood, London serving and working with the local community by sharing the love of God with them. The church has various ministries including an art group, a mothers and toddlers group, coffee mornings, offering support for families, youth and the elderly. Lansdowne also runs a youth programme and assists with a girls club as well as having Sunday services.

The Charity of Ann Edwards was est by a bequest of Ann Edwards, for the building of almshouses to house clergy widows & female dependants of clergymen who had served in the Diocese of Gloucester. The almshouses were sold, & a new development of 8 housing units at Abbeydale was completed in 1994. The 1993 CC Scheme widened the qualification for residence to any poor single lady members of the CofE

The object of the Charity shall be the relief of poverty and/or sickness by the provision of housing accommodation for persons who (except in special cases to be approved by the Commissioners) are inhabitants of the Parish of Clifton-upon-Dunsmore or whose spouse, parent, child, brother or sister shall reside in the area of benefit on terms according to their means.

The CGEF provides sponsorship grants to girls for secondary or high school education in their own Commonwealth country in cases where this might otherwise not be possible. Support is tailored to the individual needs of each girl based on academic potential, merit and need.

The premises are used by:-A Pre-School Play Group, Theatrical Society, Ballet Classes for ages 4 to Adult, Mixed Badminton, Ladies Badminton, Modern Dance Classes, Young People's Modern Dance Classes, Tea Dances, Old Time Dancing, Theatre Dance Classes and Scottish Country Dancing, Pilates, Fitness Sessions, Strength & Balance and Aerobics for the over 50's (NHS Project).

Support of members, worship & prayer, social & pastoral work, international mission work.

We aim to educate women to enable them to provide an effective role in the community, to expand their horizons and to develop and pass on important skills.

We provide the clubhouse for social meetings and for informal leisure pursuits such as playing cards. We also rent out the clubhouse for one-off events such as parties. Organised activities are whist, crown green bowling, with ladies, mens and mixed teams, tennis on hard courts, indoor short-mat bowls and ladies darts. Cash bingo takes place on Monday and Saturday evenings.

Our charity is a religious organisation seeking to develop the full man, his physical, mental and spiritual beings. Man here includes woman and child. We seek to achieve this through teaching and preaching the word of God. We also encourage him to attend shcools , colleges and universities in order to develop his mental and physical capablities.

In addition to general religious activities, we provide community groups in the LS9 postcode area, including Stay & Play (Mums & Tots group), an after school club (once a week term time only for children of primary school year 2 - 6) Messy Church once a month (which includes provision of a meal for those attending) and a youth group for ages 11 - 16 yrs once a week. The Charity provides a Nursery school building and Teachers at the school. The Convent Chapel is used as Mass centre for the local Parish of St Mary's Alton. The Sisters visit the sick, The Convent facilities are made available to Christian formation and other teaching and retreats groups for the Diocese. They also provide assistance to sister houses of the Institute including missions abroad.

The Trustees main areas of concern within its overall objectives are children and young people who are disadvantaged in some way.The Trust makes grants to organisations for charitable purposes, although these organisations need not necessarily be registered charities. Also, particular consideration will be given to projects for which there is a degree of church involvement or interest.

The trust comprises four self-contained flats known as almshouses for single ladies living in the parish of Crayford over the age of 60, or at the discretion of the trustees.
