The charity supports a secondary school in Sierra Leone, that provides education for girls. The charity is made up of ex pupils of the school and this is one way of giving back.We have provided books, essential tables and chairs, replaced toilets and rewired buildings as examples. Currently, we are raising funds to re-roof a main building and construct extra classrooms.

In line with the WI at national and county level, our monthly meetings for local women feature speakers and activities which entertain, educate and connect. This Scout Group belongs to the UK Scout Association. It provides opportunities for boys & girls to meet in a well managed, safe environment to develop personal and community skills through the Scout Association's structured activity programme. These activities take place both indoors & outdoors. Participation in & completion of an activity is recognised by the participant receiving a badge.

Activities include an Advice Service which is OISC & CLS quality marked, we also have integrated Youth sessions, ESOL classes for women, older peoples walking & healthy living sessions, creche facilities, access to IT and internet, baby clinic, mother and toddler classes, we are a venue for meetings & community events and the centre is a focal point and the first point of call for the community.

The charity aims to provide accommodation for deserving cases of women in the city of Sunderland who are in need of support. There is also a commitment to maintain the Almshouses in which the wardens and residents live. This is funded through grants, investments and contributions from residents.

The provision of Theological Training and encouraging sister churches in Uganda has continued in the following ways: training of pastors in Uganda, education and sponsorship of pastors and children and travel to Uganda for mutual encouragement. We continue to support several churches and their schools/orphanages in the education of orphans and arrange visits to and from Africa.
